MR. BENNIE C. WILLIAMS
Mr. Bennie C. Williams of Tampa, passed away Thurs- day, April 30, 2015. There was only a visitation held for Mr. Williams.
Visitation was held from 5- 8 p. m., Friday, May 8, 2015, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Av- enue, Tampa.
He was a native and life- long resident of Tampa, and was educated by the Public Schools of Hillsborough County.
Mr. Williams was em- ployed as a Vendor at Ray- mond James Stadium.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his sister, Shirley Malone; brothers, Harry Lee Williams, Arthur Lee Williams and David Earl Williams; nieces, Betty Mal- one and Domonique Brown; nephews, Bernard Brown, Ron E. Brown and David E. Williams, Jr.; cousins, Mary Young, Doreatha Ware and Vonnia Ware; special friends, “Spanky,” “Mott,” Bernie and Judy Coates Marr; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ms. Olivia S. King of Tampa passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 15, 2015, at 11 a. m. at Mount Cal- vary Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3920 E. Osborne Av- enue, Pastor Patrick Vincent, pastor, with Pastor Wesley Bruce, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Me- morial Park Cemetery.
Ms. King was born in Cleve- land, Ohio, and was a resident of Tampa for over 60 years. She relocated to Huntsville, Alabama in 2009 after retir- ing as a LPN for 40 years. Ms. King was a member of Mt. Calvary Seventh-Day Adven- tist Church for most of her life, until she relocated to Huntsville, AL, where she then joined Oakwood Univer- sity SDA Church. She was also a character actress who enjoyed performing and writ- ing poetry, skits and plays. Ms. King was also the founder of Inspirational Productions, A Drama Ministry.
She was preceded in death by: her parents: James King and Rosetta Brown; and her oldest daughter, Cosetta Maxwell.
She leaves to cherish pre- cious memories and loving memories: two daughters, Crystal Evans and Charaneka Johnson; grandchildren, Christopher Evans (Natasha), Aisha Evans, Ebony Codner (Joe), Jovan Hill, Jimmie Hill, Jessie Sparks (Tashima), Markell Westbrooks and Mar- ianna “ReRe” Westbrooks; great grandchildren, Every- onna, Janea, Delauney, Crys- tal, J’Yanna and Jessie, Jr.; two brothers, Otto Kirkland and wife, Frances of Jack- sonville, FL, and Leroy Kirk- land of Tampa; sister, Juanita Brown of Houston, TX; adopted sister, Lillian Jenk- ins of West Palm Beach, FL; nieces, Lisa, Lauren, Khalilah and Monique; nephews, Tony, Douglas, Nathan, Titus, Amos and Amon; special cousins, Yolanda, Mildred, Mary, Liz and Lila; goddaughter, Rosita Kennedy; spiritual parents, Donella V. Stewart and David Stewart, and Sister Claudia Lewis; special friends, Bar- bara Hicklin, Martha Chap- pelle, Marlene Hudson, Janice Carter, Linda Townsend and Althea James; and a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing celebration for Deacon George W. Smith, Jr. of Palm Harbor, FL, will be held Friday, May 15, 2015, at 10 a. m. at Beulah Baptist In- stitutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress Street, Tampa, 33607, with the pastor, Rev- erend Dr. W. James Favorite, officiating. Interment will fol- low in Florida National Ceme- tery, Bushnell, FL.
George W. Smith, Jr., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 7, 2015.
He was born in Vian, Okla- homa in 1925. His early edu- cation was in Vian, OK, and he graduated in 1942 from Sumner High School in Kansas City, KS.
After serving in the U. S. Army during World War II, he returned to Oklahoma and attended Langston University in Langston, OK.
After transferring to Hampton University in Hampton, VA, there he met his wife of 63 years, Mae O. Keys Smith of St. Petersburg, FL, and he graduated in 1950.
Deacon Smith taught school in Vian, OK, and later in Kansas City, MO, for 33 years.
In 1988 he retired to Palm Harbor, FL, and joined Beu- lah Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon from 1997 until his passing.
Always civic minded, he served on many organizations including: being a life mem- ber of Omega Psi Phi Frater- nity, life member with the NAACP, Hampton University Alumni Association and member of the Tampa Bay Hampton Alumni Associa- tion.
He leaves to cherish mem- ories of his full life of service with: his wife, Mae O. Keys Smith; children, Gordon Reid, Deborah L. Bowers, E. Dale Smith and Michele Smith Jacobs; grandchildren, Kenya Gore, Bryant Williams and Naarai Jacob; great grandchildren, Levon Bar- bary, II and Lenee Barbary; he loved as a grand-son-in- law, Levon Barbary, I; sister, Leona Brown; brother, An- derson J. Smith; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and many loving friends.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, May 14, 2015, from 5-8 p. m. and the family will receive friends in the chapel from 6-8 p. m. There will be a viewing at the church on Fri- day morning from 9-10 a. m.
Friends are asked to as- semble at the church at ap- proximately 9:45 a. m., Friday for the service.
