Jameis Winston Was Upset About
Bucs Interested In Signing Panthers Cornerback Josh Norman
JOSH NORMAN
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers are one of several teams who have contacted corner- back Josh Norman, accord- ing to a source. Other teams include the San Francisco 49ers, Miami Dolphins, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Norman hit free agency yesterday after the Carolina Panthers rescinded the fran- chise tag, supposedly because they couldn’t reach a long- term agreement with the 28- year-old cornerback. Norman was arguably the best cornerback in the NFL last year, despite having an up-and-down career prior to 2015.
Signing Norman would be a blockbuster move for the Buccaneers, but it seems un- likely they’ll actually pull the trigger, because he is asking for $15 million a year.
Floyd Mayweather Buys A $250,000 Gold Chain
FLOYD MAYWEATHER’S ...NEW GOLD CHAIN
Floyd Mayweather is still finding ways to show us he's rich.
This time it's hooking up with one of NYC's best jewelers and copping a neck piece worth $250K.
The gold and diamond chain weighs a monstrous 1,200 grams.
Floyd's been on a spree re- cently ... earlier this week we saw him cop a $500k Bentley for his girlfriend...the 4th car he's bought her in two years. Sources say Mayweather is spending the interest from his $400 million cash he has in the bank.
Do your thing Floyd, you master the game of boxing by becoming your own promoter and making all the money, in- stead of giving the money to the promoters.
Plus, like Tiger Woods and Kobe, you been working for 19 years.
Golden State’s Stephen Curry Questionable For Game 3
Lovie, But Is Happy About Dirk Koetter
Every year, there’s a sur- prise head-coaching firing. This year’s surprise hap- pened in Tampa Bay, where the Bucs abruptly fired coach Lovie Smith.
Among those surprised by the move was All-pro quar- terback Jameis Winston.
Fortunately for the Bucs, Winston is a prominent member of the Dirk Koet- ter fan club.
“I’m excited that coach Koetter is here,” Winston said of the man who served as the team’s offensive coordi- nator in 2015.
And Winston was very happy to ultimately learn that Koetter would inherit the head-coaching job.
“Mike Glennon made me realize it even more when he said, ‘Bro, this is the first time in my NFL career that I have the same offensive play- book,”’ Winston said.

was fired, a theory emerged that ownership wanted to promote Koetter in order to ensure keeping him, given that teams like the Dolphins and 49ers were expressing interest in hiring Koetter for their own vacancies. The fact that the Bucs in 2009 had fired coach Jon Gruden and G.M. Bruce Allen and immediately promoted Ra- heem Morris and Mark Dominik, respectively, fu- eled speculation of a prede- termined outcome seven years later.
Stephen Curry under- went an MRI on his ailing ankle Tuesday, and the Golden State Warriors said the test did not reveal any- thing of concern.
According to the Warriors, Curry is expected to con- tinue treatment in prepara- tion for Thursday’s Game 3 in Houston. He is listed as ques- tionable.
The star guard sprained his right ankle during the team’s Game 1 victory over the Houston Rockets in the West- ern Conference first-round playoff series. In the second quarter, Curry missed a shot, then twisted the ankle as he turned to get back on defense.
Curry tried to come back in the second half before quickly being pulled by head coach Steve Kerr. Curry

did not take part in practice Sunday or morning shoot around Monday. He received treatment instead.
Curry then missed Game 2 on Monday — also a War- riors win — after cutting his usually extensive warm-up routine short and leaving the court shaking his head prior to tipoff.
After the win, Kerr reiter- ated that the priority for the team is the reigning NBA MVP’s health.

Former Buc Arrested For
Jailed Adrien Broner Indicted On Assault, Robbery Charges
Second Time In Month
Former champion Adrien Broner has been indicted on assault and robbery charges stemming from a January in- cident that took place outside of a Cincinnati bowling alley.
Broner is already in the midst of serving a 10-day jail sentence after violating his probation due to an unrelated reckless driving case.
A grand jury decided to in- dict the troubled Broner last Thursday on charges of felonious assault, aggravated robbery and robbery. The charges stem from a lawsuit filed by Christopher Car- son, who has accused Broner of robbing him of $10,000 in cash outside of a bowling alley back on Janu- ary 21.
Carson claims that Broner punched him twice while brandishing a firearm
Preston Parker, a one- time Atlantic High School football star who played at Florida State and in the NFL, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail late Mon- day for the second time this month.
Parker, 29, was picked up by Boynton Beach police on drug charges after an officer found marijuana on his per- son during a traffic stop, ac- cording to an arrest report.
Parker was stopped for il- legal tints on his black Chevy Malibu. He tried tossing a clear, plastic bag of mari- juana out the window, police say. He also resisted officers as they tried to place him in handcuffs, the report says.
He remains in the jail without bail — due to an

open case.
Parker, 29, played pro-
fessionally with Tampa Bay, New Orleans and the New York Giants before he was re- leased by the Giants on Sept. 22, 2015, after a series of cru- cial dropped passes in the first two games of the 2015 season.

after Broner attempted to force Carson to give him back money that was lost in a bowling bet.
The aggravated robbery charge is a first-degree felony that carries a maximum sen- tence of three to five years. The charges of second-degree felonious assault and robbery carry sentences of two to eight years.
The 26-year-old Broner will next appear at a pre-trial hearing, which has yet to be scheduled.
