New York Liberty Signs Guard Lindsay Harding
Free agent guard, Lindsay Harding, has signed with the New York Liberty.
Harding, a former No. 1 overall pick out of Duke in 2007, is an 8-year veteran of the WNBA, boasting career averages of 10.4 points, 4.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game.
New York Liberty Team President, Isiah Thomas, said Harding will be a valu- able addition to the team and she provides a veteran pres- ence at the guard position, possesses the ability to score, and is a strong defender.
“She has enjoyed tremen- dous success throughout her career, and is a high character individual that will comple- ment the outstanding culture we have established in New York.”
Harding said she’s excited to be a member of the New York Liberty, with the oppor- tunity to play at Madison Square Garden in front of the WNBA’s most loyal fans.
“With a team filled with so much talent, drive and deter- mination combined with the leadership and support from the coaches and staff, it makes a great recipe for success. We all want the same thing; to bring a championship to New York.”

Harding has averaged double figures in six of her eight WNBA seasons, posting a career-best 12.8 ppg with the Washington Mystics in 2009, when she also led the league in total minutes with 1,194. In 2010, she helped the Mystics win the Eastern con- ference regular season title while averaging 12.1 points and 4 assists per game.
Most recently, Harding played two seasons for the Los Angeles Sparks, where in 2013 she led the WNBA with 5.2 assists per game.
Before joining the Sparks, Harding spent two seasons with the Atlanta Dream, help- ing guide them to the WNBA Finals in 2011, when she started 33-of-34 games, aver- aging 10.5 points, 3.2 re- bounds, and 4.8 assists per game. She opened her career with the Minnesota Lynx (2007-2008) where she was
named to the WNBA All- Rookie Team.
Collegiately, Harding helped guide Duke to a 128-12 record over four seasons, win- ning the Naismith National Player of the Year award in 2007.
Harding also spent a sum- mer as an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors after being invited to their camp and attending their team meetings.
The Liberty will open their historic 20th WNBA season on Saturday, May 14th when they travel to Washington, D.C. to face the Mystics at 7 p. m. Their home opener will be May 15th against the Dallas Wingsat5p.m.
Harding is the daughter of Lillian Andrews-Pon- quinette, and the grand- daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. W. W. (Nancy) An- drews.

Crawford Is The Kia NBA 6th Man
NEW YORK — The Los An- geles Clippers' Jamal Craw- ford is the winner of the 2015-16 Kia NBA Sixth Man Award for his contributions in a reserve role, the NBA an- nounced today. He becomes the first player to earn the honor three times.
The 36-year-old Craw- ford also breaks his own record, set two years ago, as the oldest winner.
Crawford amassed 51 first-place votes and 341 total points from a panel of 130 sportswriters and broadcast- ers throughout the United States and Canada.

The Golden State Warriors' Andre Iguodala finished second with 288 points (33 first-place votes), and the Oklahoma City Thunder's Enes Kanter was third with 182 points (19 first-place votes).
