MS. DARIEN (McCORMICK) COOPER
Celebration of Life and Graveside Service for Ms. Darien (McCormick) Cooper, (75), of Tampa, Florida, will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 East Hanna Ave., Tampa, FL 33610.
Darien was born on June 14, 1947 to the late Steve Henry Mc- Cormick, Sr., and Josie Mae Dixon in Tampa, Florida. She at- tended Middleton Senior High School. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother, grandmother, and friend who was always there when we needed her. She was quick-witted, filled with life, be- yond humorous, and the best ad- vice giver ever! Darien loved to shop and spend quality time with her entire family. She wel- comed everyone into her heart and care. She never turned any- one away that was in need. Be- cause of this, she was always recognized as a well-loved family member and an exceptional member of her community.
Darien was a member of St. Matthew’s Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Servant/ Pastor W.D. Sims. She held a ca- reer as a dietitian at Charter Hospital located in Tampa,

A Home-going celebration celebrating the life of Mr. John- nie Lee Bonner who passed away on June 14, 2022 will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2 PM at Harmon Funeral Home 5002 N. 40th St., Tampa, FL 33610 with the Minister Alexis Merritt officiating.

DEACONESS ALMEETA BAKER WILLIAMS
A Homegoing Celebration for Deaconess Almeeta Baker Williams, of Tampa, FL, who was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, will be held on Satur- day, June 25th, 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N 29th Street, Rev. Evan S. Burrows, pastor, officiat- ing. The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Almeeta was known to all who knew and loved her as “Baby Sister’. Almeeta was born on March 29, 1932, in Tampa, FL to Arthur Baker and Almeeta Mackie. She was educated in the public school system and gradu- ated from Middleton High School, class of 1949. She retired from the University of South Florida custodian department after 29 years of service. Almeeta accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior and was baptized at First Baptist Church of College Hill, where she
remained an active and loyal member until her departure from this life. During her membership at First Baptist Church of College Hill, she was a faithful member of the Deaconess and Ministers Wives Ministry, the Jolly Senior Ministry, the Senior Choir, and the Mass Choir.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Arthur Baker and Almeeta Mackie; a loving hus- band, Charlie T. Williams, Sr.; daughters, Sheryl Fennie and Freddie Mae Davis; son, Williams Charles Baker; and grandson, Charles Tyrone Williams.
Almeeta leaves a loving family to celebrate her life and cherish her memories with: her loving children, Grady Williams, Char- lie T. Williams, Jr. (Judy), Ida Campbell, Mary Bulmer, Almeeta Bryant (Andrew), Sherlene Mendez, Julius Williams, An- drew Williams (Sonia), Edward Williams (Sarah), and Stephanie Richardson (Eugene); sisters, Artha Etta Williams and Johnnie M. Garrett; sons-in-law, Freddie Davis and Tony Fennie; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchil- dren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and her best friend, Mrs. Hazel Matthews; and organizations with the Amelia Social Club and the Jolly Seniors Ministry.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service. We are following CDC guidelines.

Alfonso, affectionately nick- named “Pookie”, “ManMan”, and “Zoe”, was born January 16, 1976, in St. Petersburg, FL., to Alfonso Jr. and Julia Mae Daniels Wright. He was a singer, song writer, rapper, and movie lover.

Florida for 10 years.Darien con- tinued her career as the Head VPK teacher at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for 20 years. On May 22, 2014, Darien was awarded the “Life- time Achievement Award” by Rev. Dr. H.L. Daniels and his loving wife, Sister Daniels for her dedicated service as the Head VPK Teacher at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her ca- reer, she was also a caterer for many years and one of her most proud moments was becoming a founding member of the MacDill Air Force Base Gospel Choir.
Ms. Darien (McCormick) Cooper gained her wings on June 14, 2022, and she was pre- ceded in death by: her parents, Steve H. McCormick, Sr., and Josie Mae Vickers; brothers, Clarence L Brooks, Steve H. Mc- Cormick, Sr. and Charles R. Brooks; sister, Eva Bush; and daughter, Althea Gaines Knighton.
Darien leaves to cherish fond memories shared with: her daughter, Tangella Streets Pilcher; son, Joseph G. Streets (Willette); grandchildren, Chelsey Knighton, Roderick Knighton, Zacchaeus Knighton, Alyssa R. Streets, Asia M. Streets, and Lloyd “Victor” Pilcher, Jr.; brothers, Larry Brooks (Darlene), Rev. Willie F. Brooks and twin brother, Don- ald McCormick (Brenda); sis- ters, Carolyn P. Reed Watkins (friend, Gary), and Sandra A. Thompson (Rev. Clyde D. Thompson; devoted God-broth- ers, Anthony Frierson and Melton Taylor (Hazel) of Mel- bourne, Florida; a host of de- voted cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
