Suspect Charged With Attempted First-Degree Murder

Clearwater Police reported that a suspect had been ar- rested in the Monday night shooting of a man at 907 Pal- metto Street.
Officers said Steven Soto, 37, was engaged in an argu- ment inside his apartment with Jason Hadley, 23.
Police said Soto shot Hadley several times. He was taken to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.
Soto was subsequently charged with attempted first- degree murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Police said Soto ran from the scene, but was found a short distance away by a K9 officer, still armed with the gun used in the shooting.
Fugitive Sought For Operating Chop Shop
Two Arrests Made In Craigslist Armed Robberies
The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reports that a teenager and an adult have been ar- rested in what they are calling a series of Craigslist armed robberies.
Detectives said victims re- sponded to an ad about a mo- torcycle that was placed on Craigslist and when they ar- rived, they were robbed at gunpoint.
The incidents occurred at 1:23 p. m. on Friday, April 24th and on April 26th at 10:37 p.m. at 1512 Cedar Street in Safety Harbor.
The subsequent investiga- tion identified the robbers as Reginald Donnell Boone, 16, and Taiwan Jontrell Lee, 19.
Detectives said in the first incident there were three sus- pects and in the second inci-
dent there were five suspects. Detectives are working to identify the remaining sus- pects.
Both Boone and Lee were arrested on May 1st at differ- ent locations. Lee was ar- rested at 1865 Audrey Dive and Boone was arrested at Clearwater High School.
Boone is facing charges of armed robbery with a deadly weapon, violation of misde- meanor probation, and pos- session of marijuana.
Lee was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, and violation of pro- bation on charges of fleeing or eluding, grand theft motor ve- hicle, obstruction, and a war- rant form Hillsborough County for burglary to an un- occupied structure.
Temeon Calenso-Valenti Oquendo, 27, is wanted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office for operating a chop shop and two counts of grand theft auto. He is believed to be hiding out in the Tampa area and help is needed to get him in custody.
Crime Stoppers of Tama Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the location and arrest of Qquendo. Anyone with in- formation is asked to call 1- 800-873-8477.

Man Gets Life Sentence For Fatal Home Invasion
On Tuesday, a judge sen- tenced a man to life in prison for his part in a fatal home in- vasion.
Christopher Roberson, 33, was sentenced after a jury earlier found him guilty of first-degree murder.
Authorities said Roberson was one of four men who broke into a home in St. Pe- tersburg in June 2012 while pretending to be police offi- cers. Prosecutors said the men demanded money and drugs from Richard Shaw before fatally shooting him.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports that on May 6th, Victoria Saucedo, 22, and Joshua Benford, 31, entered 11525 Bay Gardens Loop in Riverview by kicking open the front door. On Wednesday at 9 p. m., Plant City Police received a call from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office about a shoot- ing with injury. When officers arrived, they learned a couple was taking in a parked vehicle in an open field just west of Clemons road.
As the couple talked, police said a vehicle described as a white Hyundai hatchback drove up. Two Hispanic males got out of the vehicle, both armed with handguns. Police said both suspects fired several shots towards the victim’s vehi- cle.
Theodore J. Buckley, 21 was struck once, and Nicole L. Bradley, 20, was not injured. After the shooting, the suspects fled. Buckley was transported to a local hospital.
Plant City Police are search- ing for the suspects and ask anyone with knowledge about the incident to contact the Plant City Police Department.

Benford and Saucedo fled the residence with the 2-week- old infant. Deputies responded and issued an alert for the missing child. St. Petersburg Police located Saucedo and Benford at 9:30 p. m. at 2040 16th Street, North. Both were arrested and charged with armed burglary, aggra- vated battery with a deadly weapon, kidnapping with in- tent to commit a felony, inter- ference with custody and criminal mischief.
