Colin Kaepernik Files
University Of South Florida star quarterback Quinton Flowers eclipsed 3,000 yards career rushing and scored one touchdown Saturday night to help No. 18 South Florida extend the na- tion’s longest winning streak to 11 games with a 33-3 vic- tory over Cincinnati. The homecoming game had 38,000 in attendance.
The dual-threat quarter- backalsosetupaTDwitha long completion to Temi Alaka and linebacker Aug- gie Sanchez scored on a 65- yard interception on the final play of the first half for the Bulls (6-0, 3-0 American Athletic Conference), who’ve matched the best start in school history.
USF also began 6-0 in 2007, climbing to a No. 2 ranking in The Associated
30 points in a game for the 23rd consecutive game, tying the longest such stretch in college football since 1936. Oregon did it during the 2011 and 2012 seasons, while USF’s streak began in 2015.
Cincinnati (2-5, 0-3), blown out by a Florida team ranked in the Top 25 for the second straight week, has lost seven straight AAC games dating to last season.
The Bearcats were trounced at home the previ- ous week by UCF, which is tied with USF for first place in the league’s East Division.
Flowers scored on a 1- yard run in the third and fin- ished with a team-high 80 yards rushing on 15 attempts. In addition to increasing his career rushing total to 3,069, the senior completed 16 of 29 for 184 yards.
Jameis Winston To Undergo MRI Monday To Determine Extent Of Injury
JAMEIS WINSTON
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston, who left Sunday’s game versus the Cardinals with a shoulder injury, says that his X-rays came back negative but he will have an MRI on Monday to deter- mine the extend of the injury.
Winston was hurt attempt- ing a throw during the second quarter of the game when Car- dinals pass rusher Chandler Jones dropped the 23-year-old gunslinger to the ground while the Bucs were being shut out by Arizona.
Shortly after, Ryan Fitz- patrick took over for Win- ston. Fortunately for Tampa Bay, Fitzpatrick carried the workload well, completing 22 of 32 passes for 290 yards, three touchdown passes and two in- terceptions.
Winston was seen on the sidelines throwing as if he was going to return to the field but never did. Following the game, Winston seemed optimistic and felt that the injury was minor. Winston told a reporter that he was in pain but didn’t feel that it was anything serious at all.

Looks like unemployed NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, is tired of playing “soft” with the league and has decided to “go for it.”
Kaepernick, an NFL free agent who last year began the kneeling protest during U. S. anthems that be- came a major controversy, has filed a collusion griev- ance against the NFL, ac- cording to multiple reports.
The 29-year-old signal caller who spent six seasons with the 49ers has gone to court rather than go through the NFL Players Association with his grievance claim.
Kaepernick claims owners have colluded to keep him out of the league because of his protests during the playing of "The Star-Span- gled Banner" last year.
Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the 49ers in March but found no team willing to sign him despite success that included leading the 49ers to the 2013 Super Bowl, where they lost to Bal- timore 34-31.
Tensions were raised about the kneeling when Donald Trump last month called any NFL player kneel- ing during the anthem a "son of a bitch" and said they should be fired.
That has prompted a rise in the number of players who kneel or link arms in a sign of unity over the past four weeks and set the stage for the players union and league executives and owners to talk

about the matter in depth next week at regularly sched- uled club owners meetings.
U. S. Vice President Mike Pence walked out on an NFL game last weekend that cost taxpayers $242,000+ when about 20 players for the 49ers kneeled during the anthem. A move Trump later took credit for on Twitter.
Kaepernick has report- edly hired attorney Mark Geragos, whose past clients have included Michael Jackson and musician Chris Brown.
CBS reported earlier this month that Kaepernick has been ready to work out in private for NFL teams and sought to be judged only as a player while staying quiet during the controversy to avoid becoming a distrac- tion.

Cardinals’ Offense Gets Jolt From Adrian Peterson, Runs Past Buccaneers
Arizona Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson (23) runs for a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Adrian Peterson came to Arizona a few days ago in- sisting that, at age 32, he still has a lot left to give in the Na- tional Football League.
On Sunday, it sure looked that way.
The four-time All-Pro run- ning back rushed for two touchdowns and 134 yards, and the Cardinals held off a furious second-half rally to beat the Tampa Bay Bucca- neers 38-33.
The Buccaneers (2-3) lost quarterback Jameis Win- ston to a right shoulder injury in the second quarter, with the Cardinals (3-3) leading 21-0.
But backup Ryan Fitz- patrick threw for 290 yards and three touchdowns to bring Tampa Bay back from a 31-0, early third-quarter deficit.
Fitzpatrick's 37-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans cut the Arizona lead to
38-32 with 2:02 to play. Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer completed his first 14 passes and finished 18 of 22 for 283 yards and three touchdowns with one in- terception. Fitzgerald caught 10 passes for 138 yards
and a score.
Arians called it “a day for
the old guys.”
Peterson, acquired in a
trade with New Orleans on Tuesday, carried 26 times and scored on a 27-yard run to cap Arizona’s first possession. He added a 1-yard TD run after Tramon Williams’ inter- ception near the goal line in the fourth quarter.
Winston was hurt in the first quarter, tried to stay in the game but eventually couldn’t.
He said he’s had the injury before.
“I’ll be back soon,” Win- ston said.
Packers Confirm Aaron
Rodgers Could Miss Season
With Broken Collarbone
The Green Bay Packers have confirmed the worst possible news about quarter- back Aaron Rodgers.
The team confirmed Sun- day that Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings, and while there is no exact timetable, they an- nounced that their star quar- terback could be finished for the season.
Losing Rodgers would be a crushing blow for the Packers. Even though this was the injury they feared, there had to be some hope that the fracture would not

be serious enough to cost him upwards of ten weeks out, as was the case when he suf- fered such an injury in 2013. They may not be so lucky this time — and it’s hard to see Green Bay staying afloat for very long without him.
