Man Charged With Murder Of Young Tampa Man
Reward Offered
Detectives have arrested Miami resident and charged him with the murder of a young Tampa man. The murder took place earlier
this year.
According to police, dur-
ing the early morning hours of April 23rd, officers re- sponded to a shooting in front of 1937 W. Union Street. The investigating offi- cers discovered Darrius Jaquan Harris, 24, was suffering from gunshot wounds.
Harris was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his in- juries.

arrest from Sarasota County. Williams was taken into custody in Sarasota, and re- turned to Hillsborough County, where he is being
held without bond.
The Tampa Police Depart- ment is asking for assistance from the public to solve a murder. The murder took place on October 9th in East Tampa.
According to police, 22- year-old Benjamin Ed- ward Mitchell was waiting for a HART bus last Monday at the intersection of E. Frier- son Avenue and N. 15th Street.
At some point, Mitchell encountered an unidentified individual who shot him and fled the scene. When police arrived in reference to shots being fired in the area, they discovered Mitchell lying on the ground.
Mitchell was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
The shooting took place around 9 p.m. Police have ob- tained a video that shows a young, Black man in his early 20s running from the area where the shooting took place. The man was wearing a dark hooded jacket.

Police would like to talk to the person in the video as a possible witness to the mur- der.
Additionally, Crime Stop- pers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person responsible for the murder.

Police Investigate Woman’s Death As ‘Suspicious’
Woman Killed
Tampa Police are investi- gating the death of a woman whose body was found on a street corner. The body was discovered by a city employee Friday morning.
According to police, the body was discovered in the 1000 block of New Orleans Avenue, around 9:30 a.m. The woman has been identified as 32-year-old Monica Cari- dad Hoffa, of Tampa.
The cause of death has not been released. However, po- lice said she had “upper body trauma” and they are investi-

gating the death as “suspi- cious.”
The investigation is contin- uing.
A 28-year-old woman was killed after a tire blew out on her jeep Sunday morning. The accident took place on I- 75 at the 245 mile post.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ms. Jes- sica Guevara, of Brandon, was traveling southbound in a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee shortly before 8 a.m. The left rear tire of the vehicle blew out and Ms. Guevara re- portedly lost control of the vehicle.
It left the roadway and overturned, colliding with the tree line. As the vehicle overturned, Ms. Guevara was ejected. She sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
There were 6 children in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Daviyon Regino, age 1, and Yeneli Trujillo, 10, were also ejected from the ve- hicle. Daviyon Regino was critically injured. Yeneli Trujillo received minor in- juries.
The other 4 children, who received minor injuries, are: Daliza Regino, 2; Kiyana McBride, 7; Ulitza Tru- jillo, 9; and Lila Trujillo, 11. All of the children were transported to Tampa Gen- eral Hospital.

Police Search For Home Invasion Suspects
Police are currently searching for three men in connection with a home inva- sion. The incident took place last Thursday in Wimauma.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, three men, carrying firearms entered a home on Keene Road, around 1 p.m.
The suspects took several items from the residence and fled the scene. One of the men has been identified as Al- berto Aurelio Martinez, 32, of Tampa. There is an ac- tive warrant for his arrest for committing a home invasion robbery with a firearm.
They have not released the names of the other two sus- pects. The investigation is continuing.
