Hernando County Sheriff’s deputies report that a man wanted in a sexual battery case was arrested in Hillsborough County Saturday.
David Deine, Sr., 41, was being sought on charges of sex- ual battery with physical force, battery/strangulation and sex- ual battery involving a victim older than 12 years old.
Authorities had been search- ing for Deine since he fled the area February 25th.
It has been 7 years since Malayshia Gamble, 15, was shot and killed. But her mother feels sick when she thinks about the person who killed her daughter is still walking free.
Last Thursday, Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri announced the launching of a billboard cam- paign with hopes leads will be generated in seven cold cases and bring closure to families and parents.
During the next two
months, seven billboards do- nated by Clear Channel Out- door will go up around Pinellas urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stopper of Pinellas County.
The billboards will be placed in the area where investigators say the homicides or abduc- tions took place.
A billboard featuring a photo of Malayshia and a $3,000 reward will go up in South St. Petersburg next month near where she was killed in the 800 block of Pre- ston Avenue, South.
The second person wanted in connection with a carjacking Monday night has been ar- rested. He was charged with armed robbery and armed bur- glary.
Police received information that William Bradley Sum- merlin, 18, was at the Grove Hotel, in Lake Wales on March 3rd. Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, along with officers from Winter Haven and Lake Wales Police Departments set up surveil- lance on the hotel early Friday morning.
Summerlin exited the motel and saw the police. He initially ran back inside, but was taken into custody without further incident. He com- plained of chest pain and was taken to a local medical facility.
Summerlin was identified as the suspect who forced Ms. Sandra Hunter, 50, from her gray Toyota Corrolla at gun- point last Monday. She was at the Walgreens, 705 First Street, South, sitting in her vehicle when an armed suspect forced her to lie on the ground.
Once she exited the car, an- other male suspect, later iden- tified as John Martin Crist, 19, got into the car and they drove off.
Ms. Hunter, who was not injured, reported the incident to police.
About four hours later, a Florida Highway Patrol trooper was in the area of I-95 and State Road 207 in St. Augus- tine, when he observed a dark gray Toyota traveling about 108 miles per hour on I-95. The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle when the driver crashed the car in the median. All three occupants jumped out and ran. Police captured Crist and 16- year-old Mariah Gage shortly after the crash. Summerlin es- caped.
In addition to the armed robbery and armed burglary charges, there was also a war- rant Summerlin’s arrest stemming from February 2016 charges of resisting with vio- lence, violation of injunction and battery on officer or fire- fighter.

Detectives learned three men with Caribbean accents arrived at 2314 E. Magnolia Street before the shootings. Campos was sleeping when he heard Washington talk- ing with the three men. An al- tercation began, and one of the men entered the bedroom and shot Campos in the face. He pretended to be dead and then reported hearing several gun- shots, according to Sheriff Grady Judd.
Joining Mack in custody for the murders are Andrew Joseph, 35; Jonathan Al- cegaire, 26, and Jamall Smith, 25.
On Saturday in Lakeland, a 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed after he crashed into an SUV.
According to the Polk Coun- ty Sheriff’s Office, a motorcy- cle driven by Michael Bitto, 22, was traveling north on County Line Road approach- ing Ewell Road at a high rate of speed when it ran a red light
and crashed into the passen- ger rear side of an SUV driven by Houston Parker, 17.
Witnesses told authorities the SUV had the green light at the time of the crash. The force of the impact drove Bitto through the rear window, deputies said. He was not wearing a helmet, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
