Showtime Acquires Prince Film ‘Sign O’ The Times’ For Sept. Airing
The Prince concert film “Sign O’ The Times,” origi- nally released in theaters in 1987, has been acquired by Showtime and will premiere on Sept. 16, reports Variety.
The Prince-directed movie was originally con- ceived as a companion to the 1987 Prince double album of the same name. Hit singles from that classic release in- cluded “U Got the Look” (with Sheena Easton), “If I Was Your Girlfriend” and “I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man,” in addition to the title song.
Showtime’s broadcast will mark the first time in more than a decade that the rarely seen film will air on American television. According to Vari- ety, it was never officially is- sued on DVD in the U. S.

Bill Cosby’s Retrial Postponed To March 2018
Bill Cosby’s retrial on sexual assault will be post- poned from November to March of next year, a judge said on Tuesday.
Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Judge Steven O’Neill said the move will give Cosby’s new defense team enough time to prepare for the trial.

It's been three years since The Roots released the ...And Then You Shoot Your Cousin album. The Hip Hop band is set to drop its next body of work titled End Game.

The Roots apparently recorded more than 200 songs during the End Game studio sessions. They eventu-
ally have to dwindle that number down for the album. "Usually when we get to
100 songs, he’s like, ‘Guys. You have 100 songs. There’s 14 really good songs in these 100. Let’s stop and concentrate on the 14,’" added Questlove. "Right now, we’re at 263. But ideas keep coming. I made the promise that by November 1, we are stopping. And we’re just going to pick a good 14.
