Man Dies After Quarrel Ends In Gunfire
Man Accused Of Sexually Battering Girl At Church
Police are currently inves- tigating a shooting that re- sulted in the death of a Tampa man. The shooting took place in Tampa Heights.
According to the Tampa Police Department, officers re- sponded to the 100 block of E. Adalee in reference to shots being fired. When they ar- rived, they discovered that Curtis D. Cunningham, Jr., 33, of Tampa was suffer- ing from gunshot wounds.
Cunningham was trans- ported to a local hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
During the investigation, police established crime

scenes on Adalee between Tampa Street and Florida Av- enue. They also established a
second crime scene on Palm Avenue, between Florida Av- enue and Tampa Street.
Information developed during the investigation re- vealed that Cunningham had been engaged in an alter- cation with several unidenti- fied suspects.
The motive for the quarrel and other circumstances per- taining to the shooting has not been released. The investiga- tion is continuing.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the sexual battery of a 12-year-old girl. The suspect committed the alleged crime at church.
According to the Tampa Police Department, at around 12:15 p.m., Sunday, August 20th, a 14-year-old girl went into the bathroom at Rehoboth Faith Cathedral, 3220 N. 40th Street. When she entered, she reportedly observed Le’Angelo Wilk- erson and the 12-year-old. Wilkerson allegedly told the 14-year-old to stay there and grabbed her on the but- tocks. He reportedly at- tacked the victim in the classroom as well.
The girls told an adult after church and the mother of the 12-year-old called 9-1- 1.
A source who witnessed his arrest told police that Wilkerson was yelling that he had 22 children and that he had impregnated 17 women at the same time.

time the child had visited the church.
In addition to sexual bat- tery on a person 12 or younger, Wilkerson was charged with lewd and las- civious molestation, and vio- lation of probation. He was taken into custody in the 2000 block of E. Ellicott around 2:30 p.m., Sunday.
According to the Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice website, Wilkerson has been arrested several times since 2009 on various charges.
The investigation into the offense is continuing.
Man Charged With Robbery Of 86-Year-Old Woman
A 28-year-old man was ar- rested early Tuesday and charged with armed robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was arrested on N. 50th Street and the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway shortly after midnight.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, an 86-year-old woman shopped at the Walmart, 11110 Causeway Boulevard. She loaded her groceries into her vehicle around 12:25 p.m., and drove to her home in Brandon.
Police said the woman was unaware that she was being watched by at least two sus- pects. The suspects, who were riding in a 2014-2017 dark gray Toyota Corolla, followed

the woman to her home.
The suspects parked in a nearby driveway and waited until she began to unload her groceries. At that point, the passenger in the vehicle ap-
proached the woman, armed with a silver, semi-automatic handgun. The suspect forcibly took the victim’s purse and they drove away in the vehicle.
The victim called police and deputies located her purse in a trash can at the Git-N-Go, 7802 Rideout Road. The vic- tim was not injured.
Detectives launched an in- vestigation and gathered infor- mation that led them to 28-year-old Marcus Wayne Hunt, of Tampa. Hunt was taken into custody and trans- ported to the Hillsborough County Jail. He was initially held without bond.
No additional arrests have been made. However, the in- vestigation is continuing.

Gibsonton Resident Indicted On Child Porn Charges
A Hillsborough County man was arrested last Friday and faces federal charges. A federal grand jury returned an indictment, charging him with 3 counts of distribution of child pornography and 1 count of possession of child pornography.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, an in- vestigation was launched after an unidentified news anchor began receiving im- ages of child pornography in June. She reported the inci- dent and blocked the sender from her Twitter account.
However, the suspect con- tinued to send the images using various fictitious Twit- ter accounts. Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Of- fice obtained subpoenas for the log in I. P. address for each of the accounts. They also notified the F.B.I. (Fed- eral Bureau of Investiga- tions).

took the lead on the investi- gation, and assisted by the detectives, executed search warrants at the home of 20- year-old Marchaun Browning, of Gibsonton.
Police said detectives found 18 images of child pornography on his elec- tronic devices. Further foren- sic analysis revealed that Browning’s electronic de- vices contained 163 porno- graphic images of children.
Detectives executed a search warrant on Brown- ing’s Twitter accounts and located additional images: Cindy, 9 images; Mecca, 15 images; Micah, 1 image; and Tatiana, 10 images.
The indictments stated that the images “the use of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct” and “a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.”

Polk County Sheriff’s Office said, “We suspect there may be other victims related to Marchaun Browning. We are asking that anyone who received pornographic im- ages of children from the Twitter accounts used by Browning to contact inves- tigators. We know there is an association between those who possess and distribute child pornography with those who sexually molest children. We want to know if there are other victims out there.”
