3 Students Arrested After BB Gun Found On Campus

MR. ALVIN THEODORE WATSON
On August 14, 2017 at 9 p. m., Mr. Alvin Theodore Wat- son was called to eternal rest. He graduated in 1964 from Howard W. Blake High School in Tampa, FL. Mr. Alvin Wat- son was born on June 26, 1945 in Tampa to the late Theresa Allen and David Watson.
He was also preceded in death by: sister, Yolanda Allen; and grandmother, Pan- chita Brazil.
Alvin leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted and loving sister, Pat Watson Weaver; nephews, Kelvin Davis, Julian Weaver, and Clarence Fuller, Jr.; nieces, Eugenia Fuller, Kimberly Fuller, and Elena Fuller; cousins, Tina Sands, Charisse Sands Benjamins, Judy Watts, and Clinton Sands; and other relatives and friends, Clarence Fuller, Sr., Sandra McCall, Mary Telfair, Charlene and Denise Jones.
A Memorial will be held later in Tampa, FL.
Three students were ar- rested Tuesday after a BB gun was found on campus. The incident took place at McLane Middle School.
According to the Hillsbor- ough County Sheriff’s Office, officials learned of a firearm being on the campus via so- cial media. The school was placed on lockdown while deputies and school security conducted a search.
The officers identified two students and located a non- functional BB gun in one of the student’s book bag. Offi- cials conducted a secondary search of all 8th grade stu- dents in the cafeteria with metal detectors. No addi- tional weapons were found.

After the investigation, three students were arrested and charged with disruption of a school function and re- sisting arrest without vio- lence. Both charges are misdemeanors.
Two Men Charged In Home Invasion

Shortly before 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, Tampa police responded to a call of shots being fired in the 1900 block of E. Genesee. When officers arrived, they observed a ve- hicle fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed.
Officers learned that a home invasion had been committed in the area and the suspects drove away in a Kia Sol. A pursuit took place and the suspects drove the vehicle into the skate park at Perry Harvey, Sr. Park, 900 E. Scott Street. The suspects fled the vehicle and a short pursuit took place.
Police arrested 23-year- old Bradley Scott Kincaid and Daniel Luis Santana, 21, both of Tampa. Two other suspects escaped.

auto.
Police learned during the
investigation that at least four suspects, armed with guns and wearing masks, forced entry into the home. One shot was fired inside the home, but no one was hit.
One of the male victims inside the home was pistol- whipped. He was trans- ported to a local hospital, with non-life threatening in- juries.
Police also learned that the Kia Sol had been re- ported stolen from the Tampa International Airport.
The names of the home invasion victims were not re- leased. The investigation is continuing.
