The third session is this series will be held on Thursday, Sept. 8th at Springhill Com- munity Center.
The Tampa Police Department has hosted two of three conversations with the community. The meet- ings were held in each of the city’s 3 districts. The sessions have been very successful.
The first conversation was held in District 1 at the community center in Carver City/Lincoln Gar- dens. The second meeting was at the Cyrus Greene Center on August 25, 2016. Due to inclement weather on Thursday, Sept. 1, the final session, hosted by District 2, will be held on Thursday, Sep- tember 8, at Springhill Community Center, 6:30-8 p. m. Tasha Ratliff, Myeesha Harris, Bernadette Washington, and School Board Member Doretha Edgecomb were in attendance.
Dinette Scallo and Tonya Lewis took part in the conversation.
Community residents Clay Daniels and Ros- alie Jones joined the conversation.
Dianne Hart asked, “How often will TPD schedule the Citizen Police Academy to give the public the opportunity to see how the police in- teract with the public."
Chief of Police Eric Ward answers last ques- tions of the night.
Those residents in attendance were gathered in a circle so everyone could participate.
Many of you remember King Cobra Enterprises for promoting the biggest talent show on the east coast, along with numerous concert pro- motions and sporting events.
On Friday, September 9th at 7 p. m., King Cobra Enter- prises (KCE) will be hosting a charity event at the ICWUC Hall, 5020 U.S. Highway 41, South in Riverview.
Alex Martinez and his wife, Elizabeth, shared their prior missionary work with KCE founder, Corey “King Cobra” Felton, and newly appointed Executive Director, Sabrina Henry. They have been doing missionary work in Africa, The Dominican Re- public, and Haiti.
This caring couple found it in their hearts to assist an or- ganization called “Talking Hands, Listening Eyes” in The Dominican Republic.
Consuelo is located in the southeast part of the Domini- can Republic; it has a popula- tion of approximately 65,000 people. The economy of Con- suelo was based on the sugar cane industry, and that left many of the residents jobless after it was shut down.
In October, Alex and Eliz- abeth will be returning to Haiti to see how they can lend a helping hand.
“We at KCE feel a need to help this couple with their missionary work, and spread the word of God.
“That’s why we are doing our part to host a charity event on their behalf,” said King Cobra.
“There will be live enter-

tainment, great food, a live DJ and more. We are asking the community to come and show their support for a great cause.”
“I was deeply moved by the pictures Alex shared with me on all the many missionary trips that he and his wife have attended,” said King Cobra.
“I thought to myself, here are two well-off, able-bodied individuals who travel around the world to help those who are not able to help them- selves.”
King Cobra said thanks to the Martinez’, not only will KCE travel to do missionary work internationally, but lo- cally as well.
“God is awesome. He is amazing, and amazing things are about to happen.
“People come out, show some love, and enjoy yourself for a great cause.”
