MOTHER HELEN C. GOWINS
Mother Helen C. Gowins, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at Mount Olive AME Church, 1902 W LaSalle Street., Tampa, FL 33607 with Rev- erend Gregory V. Gay, Pastor; Pas- tor Adrian R. Gay, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Mother Gowins was a native of Tampa, Florida. She accepted Jesus Christ in her heart at an early age. She attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and graduated with the Middleton High School, Class of 1961.
She worked for 31 years at The Tampa Hillsborough Urban League. She was a faithful member of Mace- donia M.B. Church of Zephyrhills, FL for 11 years and was a woman of prayer, who loved spending time with her granddaughters and singing.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Leroy Gowins; mother, Beatrice Warmack; grand- mother, Marguerite Williams; and brothers, Harold Warmack and William Warmack.
She leaves to cherish her mem- ories with: her daughter, Dyeronda G. Gay; son-in-law, Pastor Adrian R Gay; three beautiful and faithful granddaughters, Kirsten D. Gowins, Kiera D. Gay, and Khayla D. Gay; two brothers, Theodore Williams and Thomas V. Warmack (Mage- line); two sister-in-laws, Rosetta Barnes and Ethel Scott; nieces, Daphne Williams, Vernetta War- mack, Tiffany Good (Gene), Andrea Warmack, Devin Warmack, Ros- alinda Tillman, Yolanda Tillman, Cynthia Smith, Patricia Gowins, Anna Johnson (Oscar), Tracy Ed- wards, Alexia Loud (Derrick) and Donna Scott; nephews, Theodore Williams, Jr., Thomas Brian War- mack, William Warmack, Eddie Tillman, Jonas Tillman, Freeman Frazier, Eric Frazier, Adolphus Barnes, Gerard Scott, Carl Gowins, Corey Gowins, Tony Duhart (Tabitha) and Andre Gowins; cousin, Marguerite Williams; two god daughters, Kimberly Mitchell of Atlanta, GA and Brandy Burrell; best friends, Sharell Carter and Gertha Crawford; adopted god daughter, Elder Mary Williams; along with a host of other sorrowful family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service for Nilexia Brionna Alexander will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida, with Pastor Floyd Miles, officiating.
Nilexia Brionna Alexander was born on January 13, 2008, in Bran- don, Florida. She was a student of Greco Middle School until she was called home on May 6, 2022.
She was preceded in death by: great grandmother, Ada Bell; great grandfather, Andrew Bell, Sr.; great aunt, Renita Williams; great uncle, Eugene Bell, Sr., and cousin, Joseph Williams.

Mr. Marquis Porter (also known as Porter, Hammer, Marq) was born on June 15, 1990, in Tampa, FL. He attended Hillsbor- ough County Public Schools and graduated from Howard W. Blake High School on June 02, 2009. He also attended Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL, where he majored in Biology.
Marquis enjoyed life and had a passion for music. He loved spending time with family and friends and was loved and adored by all.

MR. RODERICK ANDERSON RICK, JR.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Roderick Anderson Rick, Jr., will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 12 noon at First Bap- tist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St, Tampa, Florida Pas- tor Dr. S. Evan Burrows with Rev. Christopher Jarnegan, offi- ciating. Military Honors will be conducted by the U. S. Army Mil- itary Honor Guards. Entomb- ment will follow in Garden of Memories, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, Florida.
Mr. Roderick Anderson Rick, Jr., was born on September 2, 1972 in New Orleans to parent- age of Roderick Anderson Rick, Sr., and Annie Bryant Rick.
Roderick aka Roady aka Roddy was educated in the pub- lic school system of Orleans Parish. He was a graduate of Sarah T. Reed High School. Upon graduation, he immedi- ately joined the Army, where he was deployed during the Desert Storm War. He was a highly dec- orated soldier receiving 7 medals, including the Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 bronze stars and the Kuwait Liberation Medal.
He was previously employed with St. Joseph’s Hospital and
the Dept. of Juvenile Justice. At the time of his homegoing, he was employed by the United States Postal Service. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. Be- cause of his love of Hip Hop music and dance and basketball, he could be considered a histo- rian.
Roderick was preceded in death by: his son, Micah Joseph Rick; father, Roderick A. Rick, Sr., and nephew, Parker Lee Archie.
He leaves to cherish precious memories of him with: his lov- ing and devoted wife, Pamyla Crompton Rick; his mother, Annie B. Archie; one brother, Christopher Archie (Ashley); sister-in-law, Kimberly Cromp- ton; brother-in-law, Tavares Benjamin; nieces, Presley Anne Archie and Savannah Dix; nephews, Peyton Archie, Isaiah Dix, Jeremiah Tatum and Joshua Rogers; uncles, Eugene Bryant, James Bryant (Prescilla), David Bryant, Mike Bryant, Ricky Bryant and Curtis Page (Caroyln); uncle-in-law, Willie C. Matthiew (Wynetta); aunts, Augustine Fairley and Linda Thompson(godmother); aunts in law, Matlene Lindsey and Marilyn McDuffie (Stanley) and a host of other relatives, friends and Postal work family.
