Armed Suspects Rob Burger King
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is currently in- vestigating the burglary of a business. The offense took place on early Friday morning.
According to police, at ap- proximately 2:17 a.m., the sus- pects were in possession of a Ford van stolen from Land of Learning Academy, 8809 Robson Street. The van had been stolen shortly before 2 a.m.
The suspects backed the van into the front glass of the Sunoco Gas Station, 8402 Gunn Highway. Police said it appears they used the van in an attempt to gain access to the ATM located near the front door. After smashing the plate glass several times with the van, it knocked over the ATM that was bolted to the floor.
However, the van became wedged inside the building on
top of the ATM machine. The suspects fled the scene leaving the van behind and not being able to open the ATM ma- chine. Nothing was reportedly stolen during the burglary, po- lice said.
The race of one of the sus- pects has not been deter- mined. He is about 5’8,” weighs about 170 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black ski mask, gloves and a long sleeve flannel shirt.
The second suspect was a Black man, between 6’ and 6’2” tall. He weighed about 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a black ski mask, gloves, and a long sleeve gray shirt.
