Honored For 20 Years Of Service
For 2018 Women’s Hall Of Fame

The Hillsborough County Commission on the Status of Women is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Hillsborough County Women’s Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was created ion 2011 to honor and celebrate the achievements of Hills- borough County Women who have made significant contributions in areas such as business, education, phi- lanthropy, the military, and public service to improve the lives of residents of Hillsbor- ough County.
Since its inception, the Commission on the Status of Women has recognized and honored 27 notable women
through induction into the Women’s Hall of Fame. All Women’s Hall of Fame in- ductees are permanently rec- ognized with a plaque displayed at the Tampa Con- vention Center.
Nomination forms are available at HCFLGov.net/COSW or by contacting Elizabeth Car- denas at (813) 276-2640. Nominations will be ac- cepted until 5 p. m. on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
The Women’s Hall of Fame Luncheon and Induc- tion Ceremony is scheduled for March 22, 2018 at the Tampa Convention Center.
Among those who attended the service to recognize Lennard Nelswood, Sr., were: Wilbert Ronorldson, Jr. and Kalerp Powers.
The speaker for the service was Melvin Vann.
Marcus Wallace was also in attendance.
