Investigators Talk To
Winston Preparing For NFL Combine
Jameis Winston's quarter- backs coach, George Whitfield, said that the former Florida State star needs to tighten up his throwing mechanics.
Jameis Winston has not decided whether to throw at this week's NFL scouting com- bine, his quarterbacks coach, George Whitfield said.
Winston has a mindset on what he wants to do at the combine, but the 2013 Heis- man Trophy winner is dis- cussing his options with his advisers, according to Whit- field.
If Winston throws at the combine, he will do so on Sat- urday with the other quarter- backs. Whitfield said that Winston is still 50-50 on whether he'll throw.
Whitfield also addressed the issue Tuesday during an interview with "SportsCenter," saying that Winston's agency also will have some input in the quarterback's decision.

Griffin, entering his fourth season, ended the sea- son as the starter thanks to an injury to Colt McCoy.
It's not a surprise, given the investment made in Griffin three years ago. But it was surprising after what Gru- den had said after last season ended.

Heading into the final two months of the regular season, more money has been bet on the Warriors to win the title than any other team at William Hill's sportsbook in Nevada, where Golden State is listed at plus-240, or 12-5. The Cavaliers are next at 3-1, followed by the San Anto- nio Spurs (13-2) and the At- lanta Hawks (7-1).
