JAMEIS WINSTON AND TOM BRADY
Buccaneers Roll Past Cowboys As Dak Prescott Injures Hand
The Tampa Bay Bucca- neers defense will be facing former Buccaneer star Jameis Winston Sunday at 1 p.m. The NFL is wrapped up its Week 1 Sunday slate.
The Saints opened the season with a wild road win over the Falcons. New Or- leans was a favorite but
looked like they were going to drop an ugly one to At- lanta. However, the Saints stormed back with 17 straight points to win with 19 seconds left. They face a Bucs defense that was swarming Dak Prescott and his offense.
This will be a close one.
Todd Bowles won his Tampa Bay coaching debut and Tom Brady remained unbeaten against Dallas as the visiting Buccaneers beat the Cowboys 19-3 in Sunday night’s season opener in Ar- lington, Texas.
Kicking off his 23rd sea- son, Brady improved to 7-0 against the Cowboys and at age 45, became the oldest starting quarterback in NFL history. He completed 18 of 27 passes for 212 yards with a touchdown and an intercep- tion.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott completed just 14 of 29 passes for 134 yards and a pick before exit- ing in the fourth quarter to
Champion WR Emmanuel Sanders Announces Retirement
EMMANUEL SANDERS
After 12 career seasons and a Super Bowl championship, one veteran wide receiver is of- ficially signing his retirement papers.
Ex-Denver Broncos star Emmanuel Sanders an- nounced in an Instagram post on Wednesday that he is retir- ing from the NFL.
“I gave the game everything I had and it treated me well which is why I’m happy with my decision,” he said in part, before thanking the team- mates, coaches, family, friends, and others who helped him along his journey.
The 35-year-old Sanders was selected by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft, but his career really ignited when he went to the Broncos in 2014.
There, he made two Pro Bowls and was one of the lead- ing receivers for the Denver team that won Super Bowl 50 in 2016.

Leonard Fournette rushed for 127 yards, Mike Evans caught five passes for 71 yards and a TD, and Ryan
Succop made four field goals to give Bowles his first victory as a head coach since Dec. 9, 2018 with the New York Jets.
Evans scored the game’s only touchdown with 3:23 left in the third quarter. His one-handed, 5-yard catch in the end zone — the 625th TD pass of Brady’s career — put Tampa Bay up 19-3.
After leading the NFL in total offense last season, the Cowboys managed only a field goal on the opening drive of the game. They struggled to move the ball and heard boos from the crowd at AT&T Stadium, fin- ishing with 244 yards of of- fense and 12 first downs.

Tom Brady, Gisele Not Living Together
Things still are not going great for Tom Brady in his marriage.
Brady missed 11 days during training camp for a family trip. But he’s still hav- ing difficulties in his relation- ship with wife Gisele Bundchen. She moved out.
Page Six reported last week that Gisele had left Florida and gone to the fam- ily’s home in Costa Rica over her anger with Brady. She reportedly is upset that he unretired and decided to play another NFL season.
Page Six reported that Gisele has since returned to Florida from Costa Rica. However, she apparently is not at the family’s home in Tampa. They say she is be- lieved to be living in Miami, apart from Brady, who is preparing for the season with the Buccaneers.
The issues between the two seem to boil down to Gisele’s perception that Brady cares more about football than his family/rela- tionship with her.

broken her silence amid ru- mors that her marriage with Tom Brady is in trouble.
Last week, it was reported that Bundchen was angry with Brady because she felt that he continues to choose football over their family.
Gisele laid down the terms: It’s me or football,” an insider claimed, noting she had concerns over his physi- cal and mental health due to the wear and tear from the game.
“She’d been asking him to quit for six years almost daily. Tom would say one thing and then do another. He was so indecisive about leaving,” the insider said. “It took years, but she wore him down to the point where he finally understood her reasoning.”
Bündchen posted on Twitter on Sunday: ‘Let’s go @TomBrady! Let’s go Bucs !’
