Chiefs vs. Chargers on Thursday Night Football. “Now,” Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones said after the Chiefs’ 44-21 victory over Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, “it’s about the Chargers.”
It might be about these two teams all season. The Chiefs have won the division for six straight years. The Chargers are seen as one of the NFL’s most talented up-
Extent Of Dak Prescott’s Hand Injury Revealed; Out For 3 Games
DAK PRESCOTT
Dak Prescott injured his throwing hand in the Dallas Cowboys’ loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday night, and he will now be side- lined for several games.
Prescott suffered a frac- tured thumb when Bucs line- backer Shaq Barrett hit Prescott’s hand as the quar- terback was throwing a pass in the fourth quarter. He is ex- pected to miss 6-8 weeks and will likely be placed on injured reserve.
Prescott was scheduled to meet with the Cowboys’ hand specialist on Monday. He will have surgery that involves a pin and plate being inserted into his hand.
Prescott initially stayed in the game after Barrett hit his hand, but he struggled to get zip on his throws. His hand was then hit again on the same drive and he left the game.
After the Cowboys’ 19-3 loss, Prescott told reporters that he did not believe the in- jury was serious. He then un- derwent X-rays, which showed a fractured thumb.
PATRICK MAHOMES AND JUSTIN HERBERT
and-comers — they defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 24-19 Sunday. “It will be one of the toughest opponents we’ll play all year,” Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce said.
Oh, and the Chargers de- feated the Chiefs at Arrow- head Stadium in each of the last two years with Justin Herbert as their starting quarterback.
GEHA Field at Arrow- head will be red and rocking Thursday night. “We’ll be ready to go,” Chiefs quarter- back Patrick Mahomes said. “Home opener at Ar- rowhead, it’s always impor- tant to win that one. And it’s against the Chargers and they’re going to be in the playoff picture and someone battling for the AFC West championship.”
Tyreek Hill Already
Tagovailoa's Weak Arm
Bailing Out Tua
Tyreek Hill spent his first months as a Miami Dol- phin doing whatever he could to gas up Tua Tagov- ailoa. Every opportunity that presented itself, Hill talked about how good his new QB was and how great the 2022 season was going to be.
Hill and Tagovailoa got their first opportunity to prove their own words prophetic on Sunday as they hosted the New England Pa- triots in Miami for Week 1. Tagovailoa's biggest weak- ness-- his arm strength-- reared its head a couple of times over the course of the first half. But fortunately Hill was there to bail him out of the worst possible mis- take so far with a remarkable grab on a jump ball against Patriots rookie corner Jack

Jones. Tua may have to throw short passes to get Hill the ball. "We have a whole season to work it out", Hill stated.
Good on Hill for bailing his QB out already. Every- body feared the Dolphins wouldn't be able to utilize Hill to the fullest extent due to Tagovailoa's relatively weak arm. That's not a prob- lem if Hill can win jump balls like that.
