When I Have Problems In A Relationship
Lord, I worship You. I praise You, precious God of love, and thank You that You have poured out Your love on me. I lift my heart to You and ask You to fill it so full of Your unfailing and unconditional love that it overflows onto others. Thank You, Lord that You are the God who makes all things new, even our relationships. You can put new love in our heart. You can revive love that has died and make love live again. I give all of my relationships to You and thank You for them. For those who are closest and most important to me, and those who are most challenging and difficult, enable me to love them the way You do.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. JOHN 13:34
When I See Things Going Wrong And Feel Powerless
Lord, help me to remember that when it seems to me as though things are going wrong, they may not be wrong at all. It may be that You are allowing these things to hap- pen in order to bring me to a place of total dependence upon You so that Your purposes can be accomplished in my life. I trust that You have a purpose for every storm in my life, and when I pray and trust You, You will deliver me out of it.
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. JAMES 5:16
