Feud Continues At Bobbi Kristina’s Funeral
Bobbi Kristina. Her paternal aunt, Leolah Brown was escorted out of the service.
John Legend To Executive Produce Slave Series; Romantic Drama
A continuing family feud turned the funeral for Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 22- year-old daughter of late megastar Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, into a circus.
Paternal aunt Leolah Brown shattered the solem- nity of the Saturday morning service at St. James United Methodist Church in Al- pharetta, Georgia, to berate maternal aunt, Pat Houston.
“Pat, you know you are wrong for this!” Leolah Brown screamed, according to TMZ, before bouncers — aided by filmmaker Tyler Perry — jumped into the fray and escorted her out of the church.
Leolah Brown’s rage was directed at Pat Houston be- cause she believes the aunt is trying to profit from her niece’s death — by soliciting donations from fans for her foundation.
“I told her that Whitney is going to haunt her from the grave,” Leolah Brown told reporters outside the church, adding that their feud was “just getting started.”As Bobbi Kristina’s condition grew bleaker in recent months, family ties frayed as the two sides fought over everything from medical care to her $20 million inheritance.
More bickering erupted over Pat Houston’s proposed “Sweet 16” funeral theme, which disgusted some rela- tives and elicited very public condemnation from Leolah. Pat is the wife of Whitney Houston’s brother, and Leo-
lah is Bobby Brown’s sister. Dionne Warwick, Whit- ney Houston’s cousin, was so against the Sweet 16 theme that she threatened to boycott the ceremony. Leolah also publicly accused Pat Hous- ton of pocketing donations made to her non-profit for
troubled teens.
“The Brown family has just
learned that Marion Patri- cia Houston, AKA Pat Houston, is asking for the public to send money to her foundation (The Marion P Foundation) on behalf of my niece Bobbi Kristina,” Leo- lah wrote on Facebook last week, warning readers not to give “one red cent.”
Amid the squabbling, the only thing the Browns and Houstons seemed to agree on was the massive security presence at the funeral, held in a small town just north of At- lanta.
State troopers, local police and hired bouncers blocked traffic and kept most pa- parazzi, fans and even passersby from getting close to the church.
Following the ceremony, Bobbi Kristina’s body was to be flown to New Jersey courtesy of film mogul Perry, who reportedly offered his pri- vate jet. There she’ll be buried next to her mother and grand- father John Russell Hous- ton, Jr., in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
A memorial service is planned for Monday at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, the site of Whitney Houston’s funeral.
R. Kelly’s New Album ‘The Buffet’ To Be Released
Like the music business, John Legend is looking to make a significant impact in the film industry. The Grammy and Oscar-winning entertainer has signed on to executive pro- duce the upcoming slavery- themed TV drama, Underground.
Starring Law & Order: SVU actor Christopher Meloni, Aldis Hodge, Jurnee Smol- lett-Bell and James Laf- ferty, Underground follows a group of plantation slaves who band together to plan a risky escape to freedom.
Along with being an execu- tive producer, Legend will oversee the score, soundtrack and all other music aspects of the program, a position show bosses had initially eyed Kanye West for, reports TV-

Line.com.
The series is slated to pre-
miere next year (2016).
Along with Underground,
Legend's Get Lifted Film company is also producing an untitled musical romantic drama and "Adorn" hit-maker Miguel is reportedly in talks for the leading role.
In September
R. KELLY
After revealing this past spring that he's working on a smorgasbord of an album called "The Buffet," R. Kelly has an- nounced the release date on In- stagram: September 25th!
About the project, Kelly told Rocsi Diaz earlier this year, “I've got all different kinds of generations of fans now, and I have to feed everybody. You've got hip hop, you've got old school music with the 'Step In The Name of Love' type of music, 'Happy People' type of music, then you've got tradi- tional R. Kelly; sensuous, sex- ual kind of music. It's just a variety of things, so I call it The Buffet."
That must mean a single must be on the way! To coincide with the album’s release, Kelly will hold a concert in Brooklyn, New York.
Italian Police Seize $205K From Snoop At The Airport
Snoop Dogg left Italy $205,000 lighter on Saturday after police seized money from him at an airport in Calabria.
During a normal check at Lamezia Terme, the rapper was found with $422,820 in U.S. cash, a police source told CNN. The maximum amount of cash that passengers travel- ing through Italy can carry without declaring it is €10,000 ($11,010.25). The rules were put in place to prevent money laundering.
To be exact, Italian Finance Police seized $205,933, the source said.
The rapper arrived in the country's southern region ear- lier this week in his private jet for a performance in the village of Montepaone. He told police that the cash was to pay his band for concerts in Italy and elsewhere, the source said.
Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg then left for London. The finance police will open an investigation into the Italian concert and how the rapper was paid.
It was not clear whether the rapper can appeal to get the money back. Representatives for Snoop did not respond to calls and emails requesting comment.
