Announces
Engagement
It’s been a busy offseason for former Florida State Semi- nole and current Tampa Bay Bucca- neer quarterback Jameis Winston.
In February Winston an- nounced that he and girlfriend Breion Allen were preg- nant with a baby boy. On Sunday, Winston had even
TERRANCE WILLIAMS
Dallas Cowboys wide re- ceiver Terrance Williams is defending himself against alle- gations of public intoxication and leaving the scene of an ac- cident.
Williams was arrested early Saturday after police found his abandoned Lam- borghini, which they said was nearby a light pole. They traced the car’s registration to Williams and found him rid- ing an electric bicycle nearby his home in Frisco, Texas. He was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and leaving the scene, which are both mis- demeanors.
Williams’ attorney re- leased a statement on Saturday evening defending his client that he believes will vindicate his client.
JJ Watt Offers To Pay For Funerals Of Santa Fe Shooting Victims
JJ WATT
J Watt continues to make a difference in his community. The Houston Texans defen-
sive star told Santa Fe High School that he will pay for the funerals of the victims of Fri- day’s shooting.
The Texans confirmed that Watt will pay for the funerals, per ABC 13.
10 people were killed and 10 more were wounded in a shoot- ing at the school, which is lo- cated about 35 miles away from Houston.
Watt offering to pay for the funerals is a wonderful gesture by an athlete who has made it a priority to help his community. Recall that Watt raised over $37 million to aid the recovery from Hurricane Harvey in Houston last year. He was hon- ored as the Walter Payton Man of the Year and continues to live up to that honor.
The Lightning’s fourth line of Ryan Callahan, Cedric Paquette and Chris Kunitz has earned top billing of late, getting the nod for the opening faceoff from head coach Jon Cooper for three straight games. The way Game 5 went, don’t expect Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov and Tampa Bay’s other marquee superstars to complain about starting out on the bench.
Callahan set up the first goal and scored the game- winner as Tampa Bay took its first lead of the Eastern Con- ference Final with a 3–2 win
over the Capitals, earning the Lightning a 3–2 series lead that forces Washington into an elimination game at home in Game 6 on Monday night.
Callahan added a stiff hit on defenseman Brooks Orpik late in the third period that could have been a fitting microcosm of the night’s per- formance team-wide, but it was a perfect punctuation mark for the former Rangers star who has been relegated to grinder status yet contin- ues to play an invaluable role on a team one win away from a trip to the Stanley Cup Final.
Allen and Winston an- nounced the engagement on Twitter.
On Instagram Winston posted this message:
One of the best plays in football just turned into one of the best plays of my life! You’ve been with me through everything you could ever imagine but never wavered! Your perseverance and love has taught me how to priori- tize, empathize and focus on what truly matters. That’s why I had to put your love on
TOP! I love you Breezi Boo! #Highschoolsweetheart #MrsWinston #Breionce #boutdamntime.
This offseason the Tampa Bay Bucs also exercised the 5th year option on Win- ston’s rookie contract. This move triggered Winston to earn $20.6 million in 2018, which could go even higher with incentives.
No word on a wedding date, but maybe some of that 5th year money will go to- ward his honeymoon...
Tiger 'Drops Mic' In Long Drive Contest
Reuben Foster’s Ex-Girlfriend
Tiger Woods is in Las Vegas this weekend for the 20th annual Tiger Jam charity event that benefits his founda- tion.
During the tournament on Saturday afternoon, Woods challenged World Long Drive competitor Troy Mullins to a long drive contest.
Safe to say it looks like Tiger won.
Admits Domestic Violence
Claim Was ‘Money Scheme’
Elissa Ennis, the ex-girl- friend of Reuben Foster, testified in court on Thursday that she lied about the San Francisco 49ers linebacker assaulting her, and she says money was her motive.
Ennis gave a shocking testimony in which she adamantly stated that Foster never hit her once. She also admitted to attacking Foster with a clothes hanger and threatening to ruin his career.
Ennis then took things a step further, telling the court she simply wanted money and that she even stole money and jewelry from Fos- ter after he had been ar- rested.
Ennis initially claimed back in February that Foster struck her 10 times and dragged her down a flight of stairs before throwing her out of his home. She also said he broke her cell phone to stop her from calling the police,

which Foster has admitted to doing. The police report from the incident also indi- cated that Ennis accused Foster of abusing her dog.
Prosecutors are still de- ciding whether to pursue charges against Foster, though it seems like their case will be very weak after hearing Ennis’ testimony. Police saw injuries on Ennis when they arrested Foster, but she later said she sus- tained them in a fight with another woman.
Atlanta Falcons wide re- ceiver Julio Jones is looking for a new contract, according to a report.
Jones reportedly won’t be at the team’s voluntary OTAs and is seeking an “update” on his contract. The Falcons may be willing to give it to him less than three years after he signed a new deal in 2015.
The 29-year-old is coming off another solid season, though his 1,444 receiving yards and three touchdowns are both down a bit from his 2015 peak.
Jones is slated to make a $10.5 million base salary in 2018. That puts him behind

the sport’s top earners — Pitts- burgh’s Antonio Brown, for instance, will make $6 million more than Jones will this sea- son. It’s easy to see why Jones would look for a slight salary boost, considering he’s a guy that even the NFL’s best corners dread having to shadow.
