Independent Authors Convention And Book Festival Planned

On Sunday, July 16th, au- thors, perspective authors and others interested in books will gather for the 2017 Tampa In- dependent Authors Conven- tion And Book Festival. The event will take place at the Chic Venue, 1339 E. Fletcher Av- enue, from 12 noon until 6 p.m.
Fifty-one authors from throughout the country will gather for the festival. They are the creators of literature rang- ing from non-fiction to science fiction.
Among those featured at the festival is Tampa’s own Bill Liggins. Liggins is the author of two books. He has chosen science fiction as the genre for his novels.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Liggins graduated from Cleveland State University with degrees in Geology and Communications. He is an award-winning TV producer, a former sportscaster, and an

The members of the Howard W. Blake Class of 1968 will meet on Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Las Mar- garita’s Restaurant, 4031 W. Hillsborough Ave. (813-886- 0525), 11 a. m. – 1 p. m.
The purpose of the meet- ing is to continue planning for the 50th reunion.
