New Business Offers Natural Products For Natural Hair

Owners of “The Hair Ge- nius” will open their doors on Saturday, at 10 a.m. with a Meet & Greet. They are invit- ing members of the commu- nity to attend their Grand Opening at 4711 W. Gandy Blvd., Building 12, Suite 1.
Mrs. Angela Cistrunk and her husband, Kelvin, de- cided to open a business in Tampa that offers specialty products. “We don’t have a building with 10,000 square feet of space. What we have is a specialized boutique.
“We have products to complete any hairstyle. We have virgin hair products for
those who maintain natural hairstyles.”
Mrs. Cistrunk said both of them are business-minded and they have one business in Atlanta. They plan to operate this business with local em- ployees.
The couple came to realize that while many African Americans purchase hair from various locations, very few are Black owned and op- erated. “We wear different types of hair, we’re just not buying it from each other. We hope to help keep the Black dollars in our own communi- ties.”
