Winky Wright Honored For Induction Into Florida Boxing Hall Of Fame

JMB Entertainment & Sports, a Tampa headquarter talent and sports management agency representing high-profile celebrities and athletes, honored client, former Junior Mid- dleweight World Champion boxer, Winky Wright for his induction into the Florida Boxing Hall of Fame on June 24th, 2017, at 6pm, at the Westshore Grand Hotel.
Wright, one of the best defensive fighters in boxing history and a two- time 154-pound champion, retired in 2012 after having a remarkable 22- year professional career.
The former boxing champ is cur- rently writing the next chapter in his career. In the past, he was known for being the middleweight division’s first undisputed champion in three decades as well as being the first man to hold the IBF, WBA, and WBC Jun- ior Middleweight titles simultane- ously.
He now spends most of his time as a celebrity golfer competing against high-profile figures such as Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, George Lopez, Derek Jeter, and many others.
Currently, he's in the midst of shooting a docuseries about his pres- ent-day life titled, “It’s Only Wright,” where viewers will get a behind the scenes look into the adventurous life of the former champ as a family and business man, socialite, and compet- itive celebrity golfer.
The cameras were rolling on Sat- urday, June 24th at the "A TOAST TO THE CHAMP," post Florida Boxing Hall of Fame induction celebration for Winky, which was held at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood Restaurant on Boy Scout Blvd. This was a Black-Tie, Red Carpet affair. (Photos by BRUN- SON)
