Drew-z Movie Reviews
Spiderman: Homecoming - A younger Peter Parker (Tom Holland)
with the help of his mentor Ironman- Tony Starks (Robert Downey, Jr.) tries to balance his life as an high school student while fighting crime as Spi- derman. Spiderman is determined to impress Tony Starks so he can become a member of the Avengers. Spiderman unexpectingly faces a new threat “The Vul- ture” who is terrorizing the city of New York. This blockbuster Marvel franchise had a refreshing overhaul with the younger Spiderman and a surprise twist at the end. Must see for Spiderman fans. No. 1 at box office_ $144M-U.S./ foreign- 139M- (budget-$175M)- ****
Baby Driver - A young getaway driver named Baby (Ansel Elgort) finds himself taking part in bank robberies with a crazy, killer crew (Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm, Eliza Gonzalez and Jon Bernthal). Baby tries to figure how he can leave the crew with his girlfriend (Lily James) once he pays his debt to the crime boss (Kevin Spacey) who was the mastermind behind the robberies. Director Edgar Wright gets an A+ for combining a killer soundtrack with the action that made this movie a classic. Definitely, a must-see! Made $61M-U.S/ foreign- $14M- (budget- $34M)- Classic
Despicable Me 3 - Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) meets his twin brother Dru (voiced by Steve Carell) who is more successful than he. Dru wants to team up with Gru for one last heist. Adults and kids will enjoy this fast-paced light comedy blockbuster franchise. Enjoyed it. 1hr/30mins long. Made -$159M-U.S. / for- eign- $296M- (budget- $80M)- ***1/2
Transformers: The Last Knight - Director Michael Bay needs to make this his last Transformer film. This movie reminded of Nicholas Cage’s “National Treasure”, where Bay spends 2 hours with the humans (Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock) trying to find a key that’s buried in the Earth. Only about 30mins of action featuring Optimus Prime joining the Decepticons to fight
against the military. Wait for it on DVD. 2hrs/30mins long. Made $120M-U.S./ $376M -foreign ( budget- $217M)- **
All Eyez On Me - Director Benny Boom tried to do his best to tell the true and untold story of the greatest rapper Tupac Shakur (Demetrius Shipp, Jr.). With the sudden passing of Shakur’s mom and Tupac himself, Boom didn’t have the luxury of ‘Straight Outta Compton’ with Dr. Dre and Ice Cube being there to get it right. The soundtrack throughout the
film was an A+. All and all, it’s a must see for Shakur’s fans. Made $44M (budget- $40)- ***1/2
The Mummy - An ancient evil princess (Sofia Boutella) who set out for eternal life is awaken from her crypt beneath the desert by an Anthropologist (Annabelle Wallis) and military soldier (Tom Cruise). The princess brings terror to hu- manity beyond human comprehension. Can't figure why critics gave Cruise's movie bad reviews., but I'm here to tell you this film was action-packed and creepy. Definitely, not for kids. Cruise got this right by using an Algerian actress (North
Africa) as the Mummy. Must-see and fast paced. Enjoyed it. Made $77M-U.S./ foreign-$366M- (budget-$125M)- ****

If Your Birthday Is Today: You are a natural leader who likes a calm and orderly environment. You are very determined. This is a wait and see time, a year when you will find yourself more in the background and in a stage of development. It is a time for cooperation and building relationships that will benefit you in the future. Because your success lies with interacting with other people, be friendly!
Cancer (June 21-July 22): You have a lot of energy with both the Sun and fiery Mars in your sign, and today you want some adventure! Travel if you can. If you can’t travel then explore your own sandbox. Be a tourist in your own town and go someplace different. Shake up your routine!
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22): Wrap up loose details with debt, taxes, insur- ance and shared property because all this red tape can drain you. (It can drain anyone!) Take care of what you can so that you are mentally free when the Sun enters your sign on the 22nd this month.
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Just accept that you have to go more than halfway when dealing with others today because the Moon is opposite your sign. Be accommodating and conciliatory. In two weeks, others will have to bow to you. That’s how it works.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Travel for pleasure appeals. Nevertheless, today you want to make a To-Do list and tackle practical issues so you are free to party later this week! Yup, you’re the most social sign in the zodiac.
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): It’s Hump Day and you want to party. (To- morrow is Thursday and the week is almost over!) Playful activities with chil- dren, movies, the theater, the arts, sports events and social occasions with others appeal. But travel appeals most of all!
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): If you had your druthers, you will co- coon and relax at home today. Disputes about shared property, taxes, debt, inheritances and insurance might be a drag. Fortunately, Venus opposite your sign favors negotiations. Sweet!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Remember to get more sleep because you need more rest this week. Likewise, you need to be patient with partners and close friends because they are annoying. (Let’s face it.) Keep an eye on the Moon Alert if shopping or negotiating business today.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Even though you would love opportu- nities to play and relax, your primary focus this week is to get better organ- ized, right? You want to feel like you are in control of things and on top of your scene. At least, do yourself the favor of giving yourself the right tools to do whatever job you’re doing.
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20): This is a playful week for you, and today the Moon is in your sign, which heightens your emotions and brings you just a little bit of extra good luck. Yay me! If spending money, keep your eye on the Moon Alert. Be smart.
Aries (March 21-April 19): Your busy schedule at home continues. This is why you need to use today to catch your breath. Be aware of the lim- itations of the Moon Alert before you make decisions or purchases. Fortu- nately, relations with others are diplomatic and smooth this week.
Taurus (April 20-May 20): This continues to be a fast-paced time that is busy with short trips, conversations, errands and increased reading and writing. Your finances look good and you’ll enjoy shopping for beautiful things. Therefore, keep an eye on the Moon alert today before you part with your hard-earned money.
Gemini (May 21-June 20): As the day wears on, bosses, parents and VIPs will become more aware of you, even to the extent that they know per- sonal information about your private life. This could have something to do with finances, which are your strong focus right now. “Money, money, money!”
