AIKENS
MR. JOHN GREGORY ARNOLD
A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. John Gregory Arnold, of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022, will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 10am, at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Kendrix Gardner, officiat- ing.
John was born on February 9, 1955, in Sanford, Florida to Obert and Fannie Arnold. Mr. Arnold was a skilled handyman and landscaper. While briefly residing in Miami, John re- tained employment in the jani- torial field. He then returned to his hometown and was known as an all-around God-fearing man who enjoyed reading the Bible. John was known by all who loved him to be vibrant and full of life; he will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Wyzorie Arnold; brother, Samuel Arnold; and sisters, Violet and Eula Mae Arnold.
He leaves precious memo- ries with: his daughter, Shereese Lewis; sons, John and Brian Arnold; grandchildren, Kaiyanni Lewis, Zahria Lewis, Sarabi Lewis, Amiya Arnold, Si- enna Arnold, and Brinay Arnold; parents, Obert and Fan- nie Arnold; brothers, Eiddie Arnold, David Arnold and Robert Arnold; sisters; Emma Arnold, Martha Arnold, Brenda Arnold, Coma Arnold and San- dra Arnold; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Fri- day, August 19th, from 4pm to 8pm. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday for the serv- ice. We are following CDC guidelines.

MRS. WILLIE MAE CHAPPER
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Willie Mae Chapper, of Tampa, FL, who passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 will be held on Tuesday, August 23rd, 1 p.m., at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Ceme- tery.
Willie Mae was born on May 4, 1947 to Willie and Gladys Chapper. Her favorite hobbies included watching tel- evision and playing cards and other games.
She leaves precious memo- ries with: her children, Ricky Chapper and Wanda Edwards; grandchildren, Arnelle Ed- wards, Jaylen Tillman, and Rchale Chapper; parents, Willie and Gladys Chapper; brothers, Gene Backey, Nelson Chapper, Norman Chapper, and John Chapper; nieces, Sab- rina Knolles and Cindy Hilton; nephews, Gene Simmons and Darrell Chapper; and special friends, Sandra Wilkes, Eliza- beth Fennel, and Irene Fennel.

MR. JOE CECIL JOHNSON
A Homegoing Memorial Cele- bration for Mr. Joe Johnson, of Tampa, FL, who passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022, will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 1:30 p.m., at Aikens Fu- neral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating.
Mr. Joe Cecil Johnson was born on March 3, 1958, in Amer- icus, Georgia to the late, Lewis L. B. and Hazel N. Johnson. He was raised on a family-owned farm with 285 acres; there he learned the meaning of hard work. He attended the local schools of Hillsborough County. He was a gifted musician who played the piano and guitar by ear; if you named a melody, he could play it.
Joe was preceded in death by: his parents; uncles, Henry Lee Johnson, Ed Newsome, Lee Otis Newsome, Bud Newsome, and Olan Dean Newsome; aunts, Rosetta Johnson Carter, Fannie Whitehead, Henrietta Brown, Queenie Mae Johnson, Annie Lee Newsome, Mary Johnson, and Eddie Mae Newsome. Joe was known for his kind heart and gentle spirit, Joe will be missed by all, who had the pleas- ure of knowing him.
He will be forever missed by: sister, Juanita Simmons (Ben- nie) of Sacramento, CA; broth- ers, John Hudson (June), Bobby Johnson (Linda), Louie Cour- voisier (Linda), Charles John- son (Felecia), Tommy Johnson of Philadelphia, PA, and Leroy Johnson. Special thanks to care- giver, Eddie L. Newsome, and an unlimited number of extended family members and friends.

A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Leola P. Lee, of Tampa, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2022, will be held on Saturday, August 20th, 10:30 a.m., at Aikens Fu- neral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Pastor James Dawson of Anointing Christian Fellowship, officiat- ing. The interment will be held on Sunday, August 21st at 11 a.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Leola, affectionately nick- named, “Granny,” was born on December 28, 1938 in Silas, Al- abama to Charlie and Mary Philon. Leola enjoyed garden- ing, singing, having conversa- tions, and meeting new people. She also liked walking and basking in the hot sun. She touched many hearts through- out the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves precious memo- ries with: her children, Al- tamese Quaterman (Clarence), Dr. Marvin Lee, III, Felicia Primus (Robert), Falencia Knox, Frederick Lee (Evange- line) and Marquitta Lee; 17 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren; brother, Robert Lee Philon, Sr.; nieces, Roshirley Soloman and Jean Philon; nephews, Paul and An- thony Philon; a host of cousins to include, Agnes Tate, Claudia Spillings and Juanita Mitchell; a host of neighbors, “31st Av- enue Crew;” best friend, Emma Simon; and church family, Anointing Christian Fellow- ship.

Kathryn was born on April 19, 1963, in Tampa, FL. Her fa- vorite activities included spending time with her family, shopping, teaching Sunday school, cooking, traveling, and watching movies.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Jerome and Mamie Pollock Johnson; sis- ters, Wanda Bowden, Toni Allen, and Reagen Helms; and nephew, Isaiah Johnson.
