NAACP Elections
Congratulations to the newly elected officers of the Hillsborough County Branch of the NAACP. Sworn in was one of our own, former PV Villager, Daryl Richard- son as First Vice President.
30th Anniversary
The Community High
Noon Prayer Band celebrated the group’s 3oth Anniversary on Tuesday, January 15th with an anniversary lunch- eon at Red Lobster.
The anniversary theme was “Look Where He Brought Us, United in Prayer.” Mary Thornton presided over the program, conducting a spirit-filled de- votion; song “Look Where He Brought Us From,” sung by Gladys Birket; prayer was given by Mozell Hester; and welcome by Barbara Little.
Historical highlights of the group were given by Dorothy West. In memory of those gone on before, there was a candlelight presenta- tion by Bernice Reese and Ruth Hires.
Presentations were made to Dorothy West, Roeso- lia Young and Lizzie Ad- kins for 30 years of dedicated services rendered. Guests, Melvin Morton and Barbara Grant were given Certificates of Partici- pation. Blessing of the food was done by Annie Vaughn.

and the delicious food were guests: Susan Elijah, Martha Jones, Barbara Grant, Carol Page, Emma Green, Pat Abel, Melvin Morton and Genene Slaymon.
