Jameis Winston Going To Pro Bowl
For the first time in the his- tory of the Tampa Bay Bucca- neer franchise, they will be sending a rookie quarterback to this year’s Pro Bowl.
After last weekend’s loss, New England Patriots quarter- back, Tom Brady, decided he wasn’t going to the Pro Bowl, and next up was Jameis Win- ston.
Winston will be joining four of his teammates on the trip to Hawaii.
In his rookie season, Win- ston became the third rookie in NFL history to throw for 4,000 yards. He finished the season with 22 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also ran for six touchdowns. His 28 combined rushing and passing touchdowns tied for the most in a single season in franchise history, and matched the third highest total by a rookie.

Winston, a consensus to be named Rookie of the Year, will be joined in Honolulu with teammates Doug Martin, Logan Mankins, Lavontae David, and Gerald McCoy.

Serena Williams Routs Radwanska And Nears 22nd Major Title
MELBOURNE, Australia — As Serena Williams recov- ered from a run at history that ended with the finish line in sight, Agnieszka Radwan- ska spent the months follow- ing the 2015 United States Open chasing titles all over Asia, winning in Japan, China, the Women’s Tennis Associa- tion finals in Singapore and, at the start of this year, again in China.
On the strength of her re- sults over the past four months, Radwanska will rise to No. 3 in the new world rank- ings. All those matches played and won while the world No. 1, Williams, sat recharging her body and mind helped Rad- wanska not one whit in their Australian Open semifinal on Thursday at Melbourne Park.
Williams, playing in her first individual tournament since her semifinal exit at the United States Open, looked rested, not rusty, in a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Radwanska at Rod Laver Arena. Williams, bidding for her seventh tour-

nament title and her second in a row, played a near-flawless first set, producing 18 winners to Radwanska’s one in a 20- minute clinic. There were 20 rallies of four or fewer shots, with Williams winning 16.
“I was really hitting just all the right shots, making little to no errors, which is kind of hard to play like that,” she said.
SHAQUILLE O’NEAL
The row of icons outside of Staples Center is getting a new addition: Shaquille O'Neal.
The Los Angeles Lakers an- nounced Wednesday night that they will honor O'Neal with a statue that will be unveiled dur- ing the 2016-17 season.
"We look forward to having Shaq join the other legends who have been honored with statues at STAPLES Center," Jeanie Buss, Lakers president and co-owner, said in a state- ment. "He is a giant not only in size, but also in stature and in what he accomplished as a Laker.
O'Neal was surprised with the news during "Jimmy Kim- mel Live."
"Seriously?" he asked repeat- edly after Kimmel showed him an artist's rendering of the statue. "That's awesome."
Falcons Promote Raheem Morris To Coach Wide Receivers
Atlanta Falcons assistant head coach, Raheem Morris, has been moved to wide re- ceivers coach after the team brought in Jerome Hender- son, a former assistant with the Dallas Cowboys. Hender- son will be taking over as de- fensive passing game coordinator.
Morris, who was a head coach with the Tampa Bay Buc- caneers from 2009 to 2011, had been the defensive passing game coordinator for the Fal- cons this season. Henderson coached the Cowboys’ second- ary the past four seasons. In 2015, Henderson coached a Dallas secondary that gave up 227 yards passing per game to rank fifth in the NFL.

Cam Newton Says He's Not Changing Anything To Satisfy Critics
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Car- olina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton doesn't plan to change who he is or what he says just because he's preparing for the Super Bowl and all the hype that comes with it.
Newton's response to critics he'll face heading into the Feb. 7 title game against the Denver Broncos will be the same it has been since he entered the NFL.
"I've said this since day one,'' Newton said.”I'm an African- American quarterback that may scare a lot of people because they haven't seen nothing that they can compare me to.''
Newton has been a lightning rod for criticism for much of his career. He was called immature and moody during his first cou- ple of NFL seasons because he sometimes sat alone on the sideline with a towel over his head when the team was losing.
He's been questioned for a lack of leadership. He's been questioned for his dabbin' and dancing after scoring touch- downs, for taking photos of teammates at the end of a blowout win. But Newton said he's the same person now as he

was when the Panthers made him the first pick of the 2011 draft.
"The only thing that's changed is we're winning,'' Newton said.
The Panthers are 17-1. They have won 22 of their past 24 games (including playoffs) going back to a four-game win- ning streak to end the 2014 reg- ular season.
Newton is the leading can- didate for the NFL MVP award after leading the league with 45 touchdowns -- 35 passing and 10 rushing -- during the regular season.
