MRS. JOSEPHINE T. BARTON
Mass of the resurrection service for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Josephine T. Barton of Tampa, who passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 will be held Saturday, January 30th at 11 a. m. at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1203 Ne- braska Avenue, Tampa, Fa- ther Hugh Chikawe, pastor, with Father Pierre Dorvil, of- ficiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Josephine Barton was born and raised in Tampa, and was a longtime resident of Central Park Vil- lage (C.P.V.) before moving to Belmont Height Estates.
She faithfully attended St. Peter Claver Catholic Church and was educated through St. Peter Claver Catholic School, and the public schools of Hillsborough County.
As a devout practitioner of her Catholic faith, she led the recitation of the Rosary at every Saturday Vigil Mass she attended. She was an af- filiated board member of the Boys and Girls Club (C.P.V.), and was also a board mem- ber of the Lee Davis Neigh- borhood Advisory Board, Saint Vincent De Paul Society II and the Ladies Guild of St. Peter Claver.
Mrs. Josephine Barton was born March 11, 1929 to the late Robert Hawkins and Fannie McKeever.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; stepfather, Elder McKeever; sons, Her-
bert Graham, Jr., Alfonso Johnson and Alfred Barton, Jr.; brother, Willie Miller, Jr.; brother-in-law, Jody Washington; and half-sister, Thelma Turner.
She leaves to cherish her memories with: a devoted daughter, Debra Jackson; son, Eddie Lee Gray, Jr.; step grandson, Milton Powell, Jr.; sister, Lelia Washington; half-sister, Dorothy Clark of New York; daughters-in-law, Geraldine Johnson and Car- olyn Barton; grandchildren, Rhonda Johnson, Crickett (Twan), Reginald Johnson Mungin (Sunya), Alfred Bar- ton, III, Nee Nee Jackson, Kendra Jackson (Bruce), and Amanda Gray; great grand- children, Maurice Spivey, Shaquondra Williams, Reg- ishia, Regina and Reginald Johnson, II, Davishia Robin- son, Montrey Pride, Reginald (Bae Bae) Johnson, III, Devin Goston, David Robin- son, Kyanna Jackson,Der- rion Telfair, Edniqua Daniels, Stevontae Tolbert, Rayquan Johnson, Christo- pher Masso, Janai, Johiquia and Johnny Johnson, Clar- iniesha Richardson, Jedric Daniels, and Solace and Calvin Johnson; a host of great great grandchildren; nieces, Toneka Washington and Ingred Showers; nephews, Danyel Hancock (Nicole), Shawn Showers and Emam Miller; great nieces, Zaria Washington and Erianna Williams; great nephew, Malik Hancock; goddaughters, Valentine Hendrix and Jeanette Vin- son; friends, Lillian Williams and family, Annie Bell Williams and family, Alice Wynn and family, Sheila Pal- more and family, Ayesha, Dorothy “Ms. Dot”, Sarah Walker, and the King family; and a host of other family and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 29, 2016, from 5-8 p. m. The catholic wake service will be from 5:30 - 6:00 p. m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the church for the service on Saturday.

MRS. ANNIE BELL GILBERT
A homegoing celebration service for the life of Mrs. Annie Bell Gilbert of Tampa, who peacefully transitioned from this life on Friday, Jan- uary 22, 2016, will be held Saturday, January 30th at 11 a. m. at New Mt. Zion Mis- sionary Baptist Church, 2511 E. Columbus Dr., Rev. Larry Roundtree, II, pastor, offici- ating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Annie Bell Gilbert was born September 14, 1919 in Campbellton, FL. She was the only child of Oscar and Lelar Jones.
Her early commitment to her Christian faith was pub- licly professed in 1930 while attending St. Mary Mission- ary Baptist Church in Jacob, FL.
After four years of mar- riage to Rochester Gilbert and living in Jackson County FL, the family moved to Tampa.
She was a faithful member of New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church for over 70 years. During this time, she served as a Church Building Fund Team Leader, Treas- urer of Pulpit Aid, and was a longtime participant in Bible Study and Sunday School.
Throughout her career, she was recognized as an ac- complished seamstress. Among her clients there were requests from various organizations for uniforms, churches for choir robes, and ladies requesting formal dresses, as well as, semi-for- mal dresses. Also, there
were requests for women dresses and casual outfits.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Rochester Gilbert; and her dear friend, Sister Julia Mae Campbell.
She was the mother of four children; however, she was lovingly referred to as Mama Gilbert by all who came in contact with her. She was a loving mother and friend to many. She touched and inspired the lives of many through her kindness and devotion to her family, friends and community. She continued to pray for the church, loving and caring for it even when she became un- able to attend. She will be long remembered for her tender and affectionate en- gagement of those she came into contact with.
She leaves to cherish her memories with: children, Cassie V. Taylor (Walter D.), Marion B. Gilbert (Nancy), Michael L. Gilbert (Juanita), and Barbara J. Mitchell; god- son, Superintendent Charles Davis (Deloris); grandchil- dren, Angela B. Taylor, Dwayne D. Taylor (Joan), Christopher Mitchell, Lennard D. Gilbert (Vivian), Brian M. Gilbert (Lisa), and Sharel Mitchell; great grand- children, Rafeal D. Adams, Alexis D. Taylor, Baili N. Martin and Jordan E. Taylor; cousins, Bennie White, Jack- sonville, FL, Corinne Jones, Panama City, FL, Kelly Smith and Hattie White, both of Tampa; other relatives and special friends to include, Sister Beverly Footman, Sis- ter Lonnie Carson, Deacon Booker T. Washington, Dea- con and Sister Clarence Fort, Sister Toynetta Williams, and Sister Mary White; and a host of church family and friends.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, January 29, 2016, from 5-8 p. m. the family will receive guests from 6-7 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the church on Saturday for the service.

James Roger Ball was born December 25, 1946 in Augusta, GA, to the late Helen Mozelle McGee and C. J. Ball. He resided in Tampa for over 50 years.
James received Christ at an early age and was an ac- tive and faithful member of Greater Mt. Moriah P. B. Church for over 10 years.
James was preceded in death by: his parents; and brothers, Jessie Comer, Robert Prater, and Gregory Murray.
He is survived by: his lov- ing wife, Nadine Ball; his lov- ing children, Michelle Joseph (Gilroy), Anita Townsend, Michael Snell, (Azuredee), Lydia Neal (Greg), Ambrose Wilson (Latricia), and Christopher Wilson (Ladasha); grandchildren, Jonesha Hudgins, Tyler Joseph, Regina Scott, Jack- quline Brye (Yatti), Amia Snell, Anai Snell, Aman Snell, Amari Snell, Alik Snell, Kolin Snell, and Divine Wilson, Ambria Wilson, Aniyah Wil- son, Ambrose Wilson, Nick Wilson and Chris Wilson; a host of great grandchildren; sisters, Fannie Wright, Faye Willis, Shelia Prater and Doris; brothers, Willie Al- ford, Billy and Ervin; nieces, Helen Comer and Stacey Ja- cobs; nephews, Tim, Stevie, Tee and Allen Comer; a host of cousins; special friends, Marie Cover, Ronald J.
