MR. FRED H. DANZEY, SR.
A homegoing service for Mr. Fred H. Danzey, Sr. of Tampa, who passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 2 p. m. at Aikens Funeral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, of- ficiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Fred was born on August 22, 1932 in Abbeville, Ala- bama, to the late William and Essie Danzey. Fred was raised in Alabama and then moved to Gifford, FL.
He then moved to New York and worked as an auto- motive technician engineer until retirement. After his retirement and the passing of his wife, Carrie Lucinda Danzey, Fred returned to Florida to live.
Fred was known by family and friends as Pop, Freddy or Mr. Fred. He was an avid baseball fan and more im- portantly a devoted New York Mets fan.
Fred lived his life accord- ing to his terms and though he was a man of few words, when he spoke his words had an impact. He taught his chil- dren to have a strong work ethic and expected them to do their best in all that they did.
Preceding Fred’s death was: his wife, Carrie Lucinda Danzey; daughter, Frederina E. Danzey; sister, Hazel King of Palm Bay, FL; and brother, Oscar Danzey of Jersey City, NJ.
Fred leaves to mourn his loss: two brothers, Martin Danzey and Gus Danzey of Florida; his children, Celestine Battle and Fred H. Danzey, Jr. of Harrisburg, PA, Althea Robin Danzey of Plainsboro, NJ, and Terrence Lee Danzey of Brooklyn, NY; two daugh- ters-in-law, Denise Danzey of Harrisburg, PA, and Tonya Danzey of Brooklyn, NY; son- in-law, Carmichael Taylor of Plainsboro, NJ; grandchil- dren, Amyla K. Danzey of Har- risburg, PA, Yashua E. Lane of Plainsboro, NJ, and Terresa and Tyrell Danzey of Brook- lyn, NY; nieces, Queen Mc- Gowan, Princess and Rhonda Danzey; longtime friend, Veronica Davis; adoptive grandchildren, Kenyel Davis, Terah Davis, Ceanna Davis and Sara Davis of Tampa; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and neighbors.
The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday, May 12. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel for the services.

MRS. ELLA PEARL PERRY OLIVER
A homegoing celebration for Mrs. Ella Pearl Perry Oliver of Tampa, who passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016, will be held on Saturday, May 14at11a.m.atAikensFu- neral Home Chapel, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, of- ficiating. The interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ella was born in Valdosta, Georgia, on January 18, 1945. She loved to cook, watch daytime T.V., watch movies and work on her crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Moses Oliver; father, Armstead Perry; and mother, Ermia (Hill) Perry.
She leaves to cherish her memories with: her children, Sandra Perry, Lawanda Oliver and Timothy Oliver; grandson, Rohan Perry; great grandchildren, Romya and Ryana Perry, and their mother, Jaquay Williams; like a son, Donald Crawley and family; cousins, David Smith and family, and the en- tire Pinkney family; best friends, Eric and Lois Gas- ton; friends, Nina Crews and family, Beatrice Walker and family, Roy White and fam- ily, Chris White and family, and Gwen Lindo and family.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 13 from 5-8 p. m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p. m.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.

Funeral services for Mr. David E. Qualls, Jr., “Uncle David” of Tampa, who passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016, will be held on Sat- urday,May14at2p.m.at Aikens Funeral Home, 2708 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Rev. Michael Neely, officiating. The interment will be in Orange Hill Ceme- tery.
David was born on April 14, 1949 in Ridgeway, South Carolina, to the late David E. Qualls, Sr. and Isabella (Wise) Qualls.
He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his fam- ily.
He leaves to cherish his memories with: his wife, Nel- lie Mae Qualls; brothers, Abraham, James and Solomon Qualls; sisters, Mae Ella Qualls, Rosa Cornelius (Butler), Sarah Belton (Michael), and Ruthie Qualls, all of South Carolina, and Nancy Qualls of North Carolina; a host of nephews, nieces and sorrowing rela- tives and friends; special friends, Anthony Smith, Al- bert Pelham and Sam Spears; and neighbors, Ruby Thomas, Carla Thomas and Lisa Gomez.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, May 13 from 5-8 p. m. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p. m.

MR. SAMUEL MITCHELL, JR.
A celebration of life for Mr. Samuel Mitchell, Jr. of Tampa, who passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016, will be held Saturday, May 14 at 11 a. m. at Brown’s Memorial Church Of God In Christ, 2313 E. 27th Ave., Tampa, Bishop Matthew Williams, pastor, officiating. The inter- ment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Sam attended school in Hillsborough County and graduated from Hillsbor- ough High School.
He went on to the United States Army and served for 10 years.
Sam had worked inde- pendently, performing con- struction jobs throughout the city for many years.
Sam enjoyed every mo- ment that he could help someone doing this type of work.
Sam was preceded in death by: his parents, Samuel Mitchell, Sr. and Net- tie Stephens; grandparents, William and Edith Webb; son, Samuel Mitchell, III; sis- ter, Joann Stephens Burch; brother, Charles Stephens; and grandparents, William and Edith Webb.
Sam leaves loving memo- ries and heart-prints with: his devoted wife, Agnes Paul- Mitchell; loving daughters, Lorie Waites, Sammeca Mitchell, Rhonda Waites (Ken), and Jernice Mitchell; sons, Alton Mitchell (Kathy), Rodney Waites and Jerreece Mitchell (Darlene); sisters, Gwendolyn Beam and Patri- cia Stephens; brother, Jerome Preston Stephens; sister-in-law, Sarah Jordan (Robert); brothers-in-law, Virgil Melton (Diane), David Melton, Clinton Melton and Gerald Melton; uncle, David Isom (Marilyn), and Rev. Sam also leaves his ex- tended church family to cherish his memories, Brown’s Memorial Church Of God In Christ; and many other friends in the Tampa Bay area.
