AIKENS
MRS. AMANDA BLUE HICKS
A Graveside Service for Mrs. Amanda Blue Hicks of Tampa, Florida who passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 will be held on Saturday, June 1st, 10 a. m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, 4406 E. Chelsea Street, Pastor Anita Williams, officiating. The interment will follow.
Amanda was born on Janu- ary 30, 1934 in Tampa, Florida to the late, John C. Blue, Sr. and Adell Corey. Amanda was born and raised in Tampa and was the eldest of the eight in the Blue children.
In 1955, she met and mar- ried Fred Hicks and to this union four children were born. They remained married until his death in 2003.
Mrs. Hicks attended the schools of Hillsborough County. Mom loved the Lord and shared her faith through caring, comforting, cooking and encouraging others. Many of the children in the family called her the “Kissing Auntie”. She loved attending church, gospel singing, and family time. Our mother was a home- maker, babysitter, and care- giver. Her family was the center of her joy, but it went

A homegoing celebration at Graveside for Mrs. Matilda Kenon, who passed away on May 26, 2019, will be held Sat- urday, June 1, 2019, at 11 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 East Hanna Avenue Tampa, FL 33610, with Sr. Pas- tor Brenda Johnson, Praise Outreach Bible Church, officiat- ing.
Mrs. Matilda Kenon was born Feb. 12, 1948, in Tampa, FL. She attended local schools of Hillsborough County. She was a faithful soul and a one of a kind Homemaker.
Matilda was a phenomenal, woman of God, who loved being in church. She remembered her family, her friends, and her church family and anyone who needed prayer. She loved every- one.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Kenon, Sr.; mother, Mattie Thompson; her brothers: Winfred Harris and Willie Harris; and sister, Marguerite Weldon.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: children, Ralph Kenon, Jr., Erica Williams, Ciarra Hickmon, and Ricoh Hickmon (Brandy); brothers, Goddie Harris and George Harris; sisters, Emma Houser and Rita; grandchil- dren, Monterryo Murray, Ke’uya, Gillette, Keith Gillette, Keiarra Gillette, Anjawuan Walden, Kamariyoni Dennis, Javier Hickmon, Ricoh Hick- mon, Rainey Hickmon, and Ryver Hickmon; nieces, Mattie Blue (Victor), Sabrina Green, and Kisha Williams; nephews, Rudolph Mingo (Shavonne), James Williams, Willie Lewis, and a host of other nieces and nephews, special friend, Henry Richmond.

Funeral Mass for Ms. Lenora Starke, who passed away on May 17, 2019, will be held Saturday, June 1st 2019, at 12 p. m., at Mary Help of Chris- tian Catholic Church, 6400 E. Chelsea St., Tampa, 33610, with Father Steven Officiating.
A long-time resident of Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of Frank Starke and Lillie Mae Henry, who preceded her in death, as did her brother, Timothy Starke.
She is survived by her 5 daughters: Andrea Hall (48), Cordelia McGhee (43), hus- band, Nareesha, Candice Hall (41), Angela Barton (40), Lillia Stroud (37) husband, Philip. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Regina Wheeler (28), Timothy Sutton (25), Em- manuel Michael Hall (19), Azeem Barton (18), Ja’Mari Stroud (17), Jayla Barton (16), Ya’Nia Stroud (15), Arianna Kerr (10) and 4 great-grandchil- dren, Keanna Wheeler (9), Aaliyah Jordon (4), Amir Deion (2), Marcellus Henry (8).
As well as her beloved nephews and nieces, Retired Col. Timothy Starke, Jr., Tammy Starke, Tanya Starke and Timothy Starke, II; and other extended family members and many dear friends.
Lenora was known by many people across the Bay Area as a friend, a prayer warrior and more specifically, a Eucharistic minister. To her family, she was “Nettie.” To most of her min- istry partners, she was Lenora. To her community she was a humble servant and student of the Gospel. Lenora was a volun- teer at the James A. Haley Vet- erans’ Hospital where she served over 3,200 volunteer hours and 16 years in their vol- untary service program.
Lenora loved God and His people, she served faithfully and took her commitment to His service very seriously. In peace she greeted us and in peace she departed from us.
A viewing for Lenora Starke will begin at 11 a. m. until 12 noon at the church. There will be no viewing after the funeral mass.
