Ryan Coogler To Co-Write And Direct ‘Black Panther’
According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are working on the made-for-TV film called Flint. Inspired by the Flint Water Crisis and TIME’s February story, “The Toxic Tap” by Josh Sanburn, the duo plans to tell the story of the mismanagement of the city which lead to over 100,000 res- idents using contaminated water from April 2014 to late 2015.

It’s not always easy to say goodbye, but after 20 years in purple and gold, Kobe Bryant is close to ending one chapter of his career. To honor Bryant’s imminent basket- ball retirement, Kendrick Lamar linked with ESPN on “Fade to Black,” a poignant 30 for 30 video tribute to the NBA legend.
In the three-minute short, which opens with a wide shot of Southern California’s Ingle- wood Forum, Lamar per- forms a spoken-word poem penned by ESPN’s Scoop Jackson. The Compton MC’s “Levitate” provides the musi- cal soundtrack, as Black Mamba’s career highlights play throughout the video.
Fans eagerly awaiting Mar- vel’s release of the Black Pan- ther have another reason to look forward to the movie. According to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, not only is Creed’s Ryan Coogler direct- ing the motion picture, but the 29-year-old is also co-writing the film’s screenplay.
The long-awaited movie, which Ava DuVernay was ru- mored to direct last year, is cur- rently in its early stages as Coogler is in the process of drafting the script.

The comedian and actress confirmed that the show would not be returning for its 5th sea- son.
