Jay Z Settles Lawsuit Against Tidal For $5 Million
Famous Radio Personality Doug Banks Dies
According to theJasmine- BRAND.com, Jay Z has reached a settlement in the $5 million dollar class action law- suit filed by a musician, who accused the rapper/mogul and his streaming service Tidal of screwing him out of royalties, with the artist dismissing all claims against Jay-Z per their deal.
Yesh Music LLC and musi- cian John Emanuele filed a federal lawsuit against Jay- Z’s company, S. Carter Enter- prises, along with 2 other companies behind TIDAL, ac- cusing them of copyright in- fringement and underpayment of royalties.

The company is the owner of 118 copyrighted musical recordings – from a band named The American Dol- lar – and Emanuele is a member of the group.

Radio and television veteran Doug Banks has died. He was
57.
The cause of death has not
been released, but there is spec- ulation that his death was due to complications from diabetes.
The Philadelphia-born, De- troit-raised Banks got his start doing local radio before eventu- ally hosting his own syndicated, The Doug Banks Morning Show, alongside with DeDe McGuire.
In 2010, Banks’ show was relaunched on WVAZ in Chicago and could be heard in several different markets.

Over the past few weeks, the art world has lashed out at Kanye, as an embarrassing two-story Sydney, Australia mural snowballed into head- lines worldwide.
The mural was a reworking of the now iconic image of Kanye kissing Kim K on the 2015 Grammy Awards red car-
pet. Kim’s head was replaced with Kanye’s so that Kanye was kissing himself as the painter seemingly took a shot at Kanye’s said narcissistic personality.
Now a print of that painting has sold for $100,000 and the mural itself has been painted over.
