Suspect Injured During Home Invasion Dies
Two Face Charges In Strip Club Shooting Death
Law enforcement are cur- rently investigating the cir- cumstances that led to the death of a Tampa man. He died at a local hospital on Friday.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m., Friday, Ms. Ariel M. Lewkowicz, 24, reported she had been the victim of a home invasion. When police arrived at her home, located in the 1700 block of 17th Av- enue, the suspects had fled the scene, police said.
As the officers were inves- tigating the forced entry into the home, other individuals called 9-1-1 and reported a possible abduction. The wit- nesses told police that they observed a group of men pushing or forcing another man into a vehicle. The wit- nesses provided a descrip- tion of the vehicle to police.
As the investigation con- tinued, police learned that Robi Vancol, 23, had been brought to St. Joseph’s Hos- pital with upper body

trauma. Police said Vancol later died of his injuries. Further investigation re- vealed that several individu- als, including Vancol, were allegedly involved in the home invasion that took place earlier on Friday.
Police have determined that Vancol was injured by another individual during the home invasion. They have identified the individ- ual, but are still trying to de-
termine his role in the inci- dent.
Police have determined that the man was not one of the men who committed the home invasion, the spokesperson said.
As the investigation con- tinued detectives obtained information that led them to 28-year-old David A. Har- ris, of Tampa. Harris was arrested at his home on Sat- urday after police deter- mined he had allegedly participated in the home in- vasion. He was charged with home invasion robbery and grand theft. He is currently being held at the Hillsbor- ough County Jail on a $17,000 bond.
The spokesperson said detectives are continuing their investigation and at- tempting to identify the oth- ers who participated in the home invasion. Other charges may be pending the outcome of their investiga- tion.
