More than $18,000 was raised for support of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church. The church suffered extensive damage from a fire.
Many pastors and churches from the area came together in support of New Salem with an anointing, preaching service by Rev. Henry Green of Ft. Myers.
Janice Nunn-Nelson sang a hymn before the anointed preachers. The Allen Temple Choir opened the service and afterwards, the New Salem Mass Choir performed.
