New Ministry Looks To Partner With All Denominations
BY LEON B. CREWS Sentinel Staff Writer
Two years ago, Shenita Terrell was riding down a street in awe with the time she had spent with God and filled with joy and peace, she couldn’t keep it all to herself.
“As I looked around, I thought about how many peo- ple are missing that experience every Sunday. My joy became sorrow for the people who are living their lives absent of God.
“As I talked to God on how we could impact people and change their lives. He told me what His children needed to see was how much He loved them. But, just telling them wouldn’t be enough.”
Ms. Terrell founded a new ministry called Love and Action Ministry, Incorporated, and she said they have a desire to reach all people.
“We want to partner with all denominations that have the same desire to reach the lost. Right now, we have part- nered with Amazing Love Min- istries to pray for the homeless

that comes there to eat. We are passing out hygiene bags and we are always ready to encour- age those in Christ who have already found Him as their per- sonal Savior.”
Ms. Terrell said many miracles have happened that brought her ministry into exis- tence.
Ms. Terrell’s ministry has an event coming up on Decem- ber 17th called “Strut Your Stuff For Christ, and the guest speaker will be Bishop Michelle B. Patty.
Tampa Links Donate To Village Partners International
The International Trends facet of The Tampa Chapter of The Links, Inc. donated $500 to Village Part- ners International towards its missions in Uganda and Haiti.
Links Ruby Brown and Sylvia Andrews are the chair and co-chair respectively. The donation was raised through a penny drive at the two schools, Sheehy Elementary and Van Buren Middle School. The Links’s two groups are the Royal and Radiant Jewels were educated about the two countries and their needs. And it was also a lesson in giving back.
Village Partners, International was founded by local cardiologist, Dr. Sylvia Campbell. The organi- zation has built clinics, schools and provided much need medical and dental efforts to villages in both countries.
The chapter made the presentation to Dr. Campbell recently. Pictured are Link Kay Andrews, chapter president, Diedre Joseph an officer with VPI, Dr. Sylvia Campbell, Links Ruby Brown, Chair and Sylvia Andrews, co-chair.
Dancing In The Footlights
Lord, shine the light of Your Word on the path of my life today. Make it a lamp for my feet so that I do not stumble. Bring it alive in my spirit so that it illuminates my mind and soul. Let it be a guide for every decision I make, every step I take. Keep me from turning to the right or the left so that I will stay on the narrow path that leads to life. Help me daily to carve out time to be alone with You and to feed on Your truth.
Great peace have those who love Your law and nothing causes them to stumble. PSALM 119:165
Lord, “oh how I live Your law! It is my meditation all the day” (Psalm 119:97). Open my eyes to see new treasure every time I read or hear it. Speak to me and comfort my heart. Make Your Word come alive in me and use it to nourish my soul and spirit like food does for my body. Align my heart with Yours and give me revelation and guidance so that I may know Your will for my life. Shine the light of truth where I am right now and show me the next step to take.
Entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. PSALM 119:130
Lord, just as the footlights on the stage show a performer where to step so as not to fall, so does Your Word light the path I’m on so that I will not stumble. I pray that the light I re- ceive from our Word will be renewed and reestablished every day so that my feet are al- ways on solid ground.
Oh, send out Your light and Your truth Let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill. PSALM 43:3
Lord, help me to spend more time in Your Word. Open my eyes to really see Your truth as I read it. Engrave it upon my soul so that it makes changes in me that last. As I read it, may it give me clarity, peace, security and direction. Help me to remember to use Your Word as a weapon against the enemy of my soul. Fortify me with Your double-edged sword that is more powerful than any weapon the enemy would try to use against me. May Your Word bring light to any dark areas of my life. May it set my soul free so my heart may dance for joy in Your presence.
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword piercing even to the division of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow, and is a dis- cerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. HEBREWS 4:12
