Lil Wayne Signs Deal With Jay Z
LIL WAYNE AND JAY Z
Lil Wayne and Jay Z have sparred lyrically, but now the pair are in business – in some way or another.
At KMEL’s Summer Jam in the Bay, Lil Wayne told the crowd. “I just signed a deal with my motherf**king idol, Jay Z.”
The only thing: Wayne didn’t say what the deal com- prised of. The general thought is that he either signed to Roc Nation management or Jay Z’s Tidal streaming service.
Wayne recently release a new track, “Glory,” through Tidal. He has also been stuck in a legal snafu with Cash Money Records, his recording home since he started as an artist.
Ice T’s Grandson Indicted For Roommate’s Death
Ice T and his grandson Elyjah.
Elyjah Marrow, the grandson of rapper Ice-T, has been indicted on the shooting death of 19-year-old Daryus Johnson.
Johnson was the room- mate of Marrow at the time of his death in June 2014.
Marrow, 20, was arrested for accidentally shooting Johnson in the chest with a stolen gun. Police discovered Johnson unconscious at a Marietta, Georgia apartment complex. He was later pro- nounced dead at a local hospi- tal.
“Marrow was not using proper firearms safety when handling the gun,” Officer David Baldwin told The Marietta Daily Journal at the time. “That reckless handling of the firearm is what led to Johnson being accidentally shot and eventually killed.”
Marrow has been in- dicted on involuntary manslaughter, possession of marijuana with intent to dis- tribute, possession of mari- juana more than an ounce, theft by receiving stolen prop- erty and possession of firearm during commission of a felony reckless conduct and other charges.
‘Save By The Bell’ Star Finds Out New Hubby Is ‘Wanted’
Designed By Lakeland Designer In Cosmopolitan
Lark Voorhies, 41, made headlines on Friday when it was learned she had secretly wed Jimmy Green in Las Vegas two months ago.
Soon after, however, it was reported by TMZ that the Saved By The Bell star's new husband is a 'fugitive from justice.' Jimmy Green is claimed to be a wanted man in Tuscon, Arizona after a 2012 incident in which he al- legedly threatened to kill a store owner.
Soon after the actress' rep said that she feels the claims are 'not true.' It was added,
According to the Tampa Bay Business Journal, a Lakeland-based swimsuit de- signer and entrepreneur got major exposure in Cosmo- politan.
Nicki Minaj is featured in the July issue of Cosmo- politan and inside the maga- zine, she wears a design by Lakeland native, Altrichia "A.Lekay" Cook, CEO of Allusions by A.Lekay Swimwear.
Going in, Cook knew there was no guarantee that her designs would be se- lected, or that model, Minaj, would wear them.
"For her to wear it and even do a video in my pieces, reinforces that she did in- deed like the Amerika Allu- sions by A.Lekay piece," Cook said. "Working with a

'We are obviously concerned about the allegations and we are looking into the matter. Lark would like this cleared up as soon as possible.'
Questlove Gets
No doubt fans of Lauryn Hill’s iconic album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” remember the words to “To Zion,” the powerful dedi- cation she penned to her firstborn, Zion Marley.
The track chronicled her decision to keep her son, after being advised against it for the sake of her career. Hill also said that her preg- nancy helped her kick writer’s block, so we have Zion to thank for that classic album!

Emotional During Amy
Questlove hosted a screening of “Amy” — direc- tor Asif Kapadia’s upcom- ing doc on Amy Winehouse that debuted in Cannes — on Thursday at the Crosby Street Hotel.
But he had to step outside the theater during the emo- tional film.
“This is probably the first time that I’ve really commit- ted to seeing her image or lis- tening to her music since she passed,” the “Tonight Show” drummer said during an in- troduction. “This is going to be kind of hard to watch in public.”

Winehouse was plan-
ning to form a jazz group with Questlove, Mos Def and Raphael Saadiq be- fore she died of alcohol poi- soning in 2011.
“I really haven’t met a person so immersed in their art,” Questlove said.

Beyonce Signs With New
Touring Management Company;
Caitlyn AKA Bruce Jenner Gets $5M Payday From E
Beyonce is making some internal career changes. Ac- cording to The Hollywood Reporter, the music superstar took her touring business to CAA, leaving ICM Partners with only the talent manage- ment of her acting endeavors.
The departure is a huge blow for ICM, but CAA will reap the benefits since Bey- once would become an in- stant signature client for any agency. Her 2014 "On the Run" stadium tour with hus- band Jay Z grossed more than $100 million in ticket sales, while her Mrs. Carter Show world tour earned $66.4 million in ticket sales.
Beyonce had left CAA back in 2006 for ICM.
In more Beyonce news, another University will offer a college course focused on the superstar singer.
The Department of Drama
Although E! wanted to keep a tight leash over what to pay Caitlyn Jenner for its upcoming docuseries “I Am Cait,” the reality show starlet ended up walking away with much more.
From what insiders tell RadarOnline.com, Jenner took home $5 million for “I am Cait,” $1 million more than what she paid to be- come a woman.
“It’s the biggest paycheck ever given by E! for a solo re- ality show, and Caitlyn’s agent was relentless in get- ting her the huge payday,” an insider told the site. “At one point, talks between the net-

work and E! had broken down, because nobody wanted to pay her more than $2 million.
Caitlyn’s agent then began informal talks with other networks, and E! quickly came back to the table, ready to pay $5 mil- lion.”

The course will be offered in Fall 2015 to all students and has no prerequisites. Students will analyze videos from Beyoncé's most recent album, use feminist and criti- cal race theories to reflect on her work and create their own artistic responses.
