Driver In Deadly Hit And Run Accident Arrested
Death Of Man Found On Street Ruled Murder

Last Sunday evening, an unidentified man was found on the side of the street. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has ruled the death as a homicide. The vic- tim has been identified as 25- year-old Anthony Jefferies, of Tampa.
Detectives said Jefferies was shot behind an apart- ment at 14352 Lucerne
shortly after 5 p.m. Detectives are asking

A reward of up to $3,000 is being offered for informa- tion pertaining to the mur- der. Those with information can remain anonymous.

 Last Friday, police ar- rested a 31-year-old man in connection with a deadly hit and run. The accident oc- curred on February 25th, on U. S. Highway 301 and Gerry Lane, in Hillsborough County.

31, was arrested at his home in Thonotosassa and charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an acci- dent involving a death. He is being held at the Hillsbor- ough County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol troopers, Middelton was driving a 2014 Nissan Sentra when he attempted to pass a 2002 Ford F150 in the inside lane.
The driver of the F150, identified as Manuel Patino-Villa, 57, of Tampa, was traveling northbound as
well. The driver of the Sentra passed, but failed to slow for the F-150. As a result, the car collided with the back of the truck.
The impact caused the truck to overturn with Patino-Villa and Ms. Maria Munguia-Vil- lasenor, 55, of Tampa. Both were partially ejected from the vehicle. There were also two children, Jeanette Vieyra, 1, and Jouri Vieyra, 13, both of Tampa, in the truck.
Patino-Villa died at the scene and Ms. Munguia- Villasenor was critically in- jured. The infant received minor injuries as well.
After the accident, Mid- delton allegedly abandoned his vehicle, got into the pas- senger side of a Nissan vehi- cle driven by a Hispanic female, and fled the scene.
Unknown Driver Vehicle
A man shot and killed a cat infected with rabies. The incident took place near Nundy Avenue, in Gibsonton (33534.
According to the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County (DOH- Hillsborough), it has been confirmed that the brown and black tabby, domestic short- hair cat was rabid.
The cat jumped out of the bushes as the unidentified man was walking and grabbed onto his foot. He then shot and killed the cat.
The victim is now under- going rabies post-exposure prophylaxis.
The rabies alert is for 60 days. The boundaries are: The Alafia River on the north, Symmes Road on the South, E. Bay Road on the east, and U. S. Highway 41 on the west.
Anyone who has been bit- ten, scratched, or exposed to the saliva of any wild animal or an animal that is acting un- usual should always report the exposure to the local health department and visit their preferred health care provider.

Rabid Cat
The Pasco County Sher- iff’s Office has arrested a man accused of aggravated assault. He is alleged to have attempted to run over a deputy.
According to police, the incident happened in the parking lot of the Desire Gentleman’s Club, 3935 Grand Boulevard, in Holi- day, shortly after 5 p.m., last Sunday.
Police said the man was driving a 2017 Kia Optima, white in color, that had been reported stolen.
