A Flashback
Saturday, October 24th the Seniors of Progress Village hosted An Oldies but Goodies Night at the Recreation Center with hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s from 5-9 p. m. It was
a stone cold blast!
The attendees laughed,
danced, took selfies, socialized and enjoyed a delicious meal together. To get the full effect you had to be there to see the afros, bell bottom jeans, flow- ered shirts, scarves, head- bands, big earrings, brims, overalls, and to top all that off was platform shoes with gold- fish in glass heel worn by the male host, Big Papa.
There was a talent show with guest look-a-likes: Ike and Tina Turner, Lenny Williams, The Supremes, Betty Wright, Martha and Vandellas, and many more.
All this fun and food was only $5. I hope this is an an- nual event!
