Substitute Teacher Charged With Sex Crimes
Tax Fraud
Task Force Makes 64 Arrests, Recover 46 Stolen Vehicles
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 23- year-old man and charged him with sex crimes involving a ju- venile. He is currently being held on a $100,000.
According to police, between August 30th and September 16th, Samuel Lee Bullock, Jr., a substitute Hillsborough School District teacher, al- legedly used his personal cell phone to communicate with a 14-year-old student.
During the conversations, Bullock and the girl partici- pated in numerous explicit sexual conversations.
Police said Bullock and the girl attempted to arrange a meeting to engage in sexual in- tercourse, but were unsuccess- ful.
On September 8th, Bullock was assigned to Riverview High School to serve as a sub- stitute teacher. He and the girl, who attends the school, al- legedly met in a classroom, where they embraced and

During a joint news confer- ence, St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway, Tampa Police Chief Eric Ward, and Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri announced the results of a joint initiative cre- ated to address an increase in auto thefts in the area.
The effort began August 14, 2015, and during the first five weeks, 64 arrests had been
made of which 36 were adult and 28 were juveniles. Also, one juvenile was arrested twice.
The suspects were arrested for various crimes for a total of 171 charges to include 37 for grand theft auto, 19 for fleeing and eluding, 19 for resisting ar- rest without violence, 12 for conveyance burglaries, 11 for driving without a license and several others.

Four Men Arrested In String Of Armed Robberies

Tampa Police Detectives re- port that on September 19th at 11 p. m., two unknown suspects broke into the coin machines at the Bucket of Sudz Car Wash, 3451 East Busch Boulevard. The suspects fled with the cash that was inside the machines.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspects.

Investigators said Bullock

A search of his cell phone re- vealed nude photographs sent from Bullock’s phone. A sub- sequent search warrant of the girl’s phone showed that her phone had been the recipient of the nude photographs.
The investigation is continu- ing.
Last week, a Clearwater man was sentenced to prison for his role in a conspiracy to commit fraud. He pleaded guilty on June 18, 2015.
U. S. District Judge Eliza- beth A. Kovachevich sen- tenced 56-year-old Sylvester Banks to 2 years and 3 months in federal prison. He was also ordered to pay $755,900 in restitution to the Internal Rev- enue Service.
According to court documents, between April 2011 and March 2013, Banks received and de- posited approximately $755,900 into his bank account. None of the checks, which were income tax refund checks, de- posited into the accounts were made payable to him.
Investigators said the checks were the result of several false and fraudulently filed income tax returns.
Banks admitted to federal agents that he realized the checks were fraudulent income tax refund proceeds and that it was unlawful for him to have re- ceived and deposited them into his own account, officials said.
Suspect Sought In Robbery Of Brandon Gas Station
This is a surveillance photo of a man suspected of robbing a Brandon gas station.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who reportedly robbed a gas station in Brandon Friday.
Deputies reported that at 12:30 p.m., a man entered the Chevron Gas Station, 965 East Brandon Boulevard, implied he had a gun and demanded money. After getting cash, the man was seen running to an SUV and drove away.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 37-to-43 years old, 5’8” tall and weighing between 170 and 190 pounds. He was seen leaving in a 2005 to 2007 light silver or gold Jeep Liberty that is missing the passenger side tail light assembly.

Cousins With Gambling Problem Allegedly Committed Dozens Of Burglaries
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, four men were arrested in a string of armed robberies in Wesley Chapel, Lutz and New Tampa that occurred last Wednesday morning.
Isiah McManus, 20; Evan St. Pierre, 20; Dominic Traina, 19, and Devin Shap- land, 18, were all arrested and booked Thursday at the Land O’ Lakes Detention Center.
Authorities said the men began their seven-hour spree at a Papa John’s, 14917 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, then moved on to a Taco Bell,22744 State Road 54 in Lutz; a CVS, 1929 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, Wesley Chapel, and a Circle K, 24929 State Road 54, in Lutz.
The four men were also con- nected to an attempted break- in at a Wesley Chapel phone repair store, deputies said.
Deputies said in each inci- dent, McManus was armed as he entered or approached the businesses and demanded money. The others participat- ing in planning the crimes and served as a driver or scout.
The men were connected to the incidents after a fingerprint was lifted from one of the crime scenes that identified one of the suspects.
During the search of an apartment in Wesley Chapel,
gloves, clothing, and three guns allegedly used in the robberies were found. Also, prescriptions drugs were found.
Investigators said the group first tried to rob the Papa John’s in Tampa Palms but were unable to enter a locked door. An hour later, St. Pierre drove Shapland’s car through the drive-through at the Taco Bell as McManus approached on foot, deputies said. Mc- Manus allegedly pointed a gun at an employee inside, but was unable to open the drive- through window. He then jumped in the vehicle and the suspects fled.
McManus is facing charges of armed robbery, armed kid- napping, attempted armed rob- bery, attempted armed burglary, and shooting into a public unoccupied building.
St. Pierre is charged with armed robbery attempted armed robbery, possession of a controlled substance and tam- pering with physical evidence.
Shapland is facing two counts of attempted armed robbery and introduction of contraband.
Traina faces charges of armed robbery, armed kidnap- ping, felony marijuana posses- sion, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities have charged two cousins with breaking into dozens of pizza shops, check cashing stores and other busi- nesses since January, alleging they spent the money living the high life at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and Derby Lane.
During the month of March, authorities identified a late night business burglary crime trend that targeted pizza carry- out/delivery restaurants within the area. As the trend contin- ued to grow, burglaries of cash advance businesses began to surface.
Marvin Gulley, 33, and Stanford Gulley, 29, were arrested over the weekend, put- ting an end to “Operation Pizza Dough.”
The cousins were charged with a list of crimes, including burglary, grand theft, criminal mischief fleeing to elude and possession of burglary tools. Both are being held in jail with

$110,000, and Stanford Gul- ley’s bail has not been posted. The Gulley cousins have
been accused of breaking into 35 businesses over a nine- month period and stealing al- most $80,000 in cash, deputies reported.
Authorities said the cousins also took video surveillance equipment to make sure they couldn’t be identified, and they never hit the same place twice.
When the Gulley’s were identified as the burglars, they were put under surveillance for two weeks.
A search warrant was served on the car and hotel room rented by the cousins, and deputies recovered $28,000 in cash and tools used in the bur- glaries. While under surveil- lance, authorities said they spent a lot of their money at the casino or to the dog track. They also gave a lot of the money to friends.
