Teenager Charged With Armed Robbery, Armed Kidnapping
The Tampa Police Depart- ment has arrested a teenager and charged with three armed robberies.
In one of the cases, he re- portedly kidnapped members of a family and placed a gun to the head of an 8-year-old kid- nap victim.
Rolondo Noel Williams, 16, of Tampa, was arrested Monday evening at his home. He is facing armed robbery and armed kidnapping charges.
Police said the crime spree began during the early morn- ing hours on July 20th, at the Travel Lodge, 2901 E. Busch Blvd. The suspect encountered the victims at the pool and began a conversation with them. When he went back to their hotel room, he de- manded money at gunpoint, and took a wallet.
In the second robbery on July 22nd, at 12:30 a.m., the suspect was at the same loca- tion, and used the same man- ner of approach. He demanded money at gunpoint, and robbed them of a watch, iPhone and keys to a rental car. The victims were tourists from Italy.

proached a victim pumping gas and engaged him in con- versation. When the victim tried to end the conversation, the suspect jumped into the passenger seat, and pointed a gun at the victim. Then made the victim drive to his home, and made the victim’s mother, niece, and nephew get into the car at gunpoint.
They went to an ATM to withdraw money and the vic- tim held a gun to the head of an 8-year-old.
One victim was reportedly pistol-whipped during one of the robberies.
The Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office will de- termine if Williams will be charged as an adult, a spokesperson for the Tampa Police Department said.

Driver In Crash That Killed Three Mothers Sentenced To 35 Years

A Brooksville man was ar- rested Monday after he refused to move his car from an illegal parking spot in front of the Her- nando County Detention Cen- ter.
According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Lee Roberts, 31, was defiant when he was told he couldn’t park his vehicle in front of the main entrance of the detention center.
Roberts was escorted out- side, and again refused to move his vehicle, deputies said.
According to reports, Roberts got into his vehicle when a second deputy walked up to tell him to move it. In- stead of parking, Roberts backed down the walkway into a bench and then sped forward onto the detention center’s lawn. He then turned the vehi- cle around and headed back to- ward the building in the grass, toward a deputy’s parked cruiser.
At the last minute, Roberts turned continuing in a full cir- cle, striking a flag pole in front of the building.
Roberts was ordered out of the vehicle and was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and resisting arrest without vio- lence. He was held on $4,000 bond on the charges.

On Tuesday, a St. Petersburg man was sentenced to 35 years in prison for the deaths of three young mothers killed in a hit-and-run crash in June 2014.

scene. Their aunt Grace Col- lier, 35, died later at an area hospital. All three women were parents.
Anderson entered a guilty plea Tuesday to three charges of vehicular homicide, driving with a revoked license and leaving the scene of an acci- dent.
Judge Michael Andrews sentenced Anderson to 35 years in prison followed by 15 years of probation. He also had his driving privileges re- voked permanently.
Anderson reportedly apol- ogized to the family before he was sentenced. He also suf- fered burns to his hands in the fire when he tried to help the women get out of the burning car, but could not.
Bullet Enters Child’s Bedroom During Shootout At Apartment Complex
On May 18, 2010, Derek Anderson was shot to death in the parking lot of the John- son-Kenneth Court Apart- ments on 43rd Street. Since that incident, the complex has undergone a complete makeover, including changing its name to Silver Oaks Apart- ments.
For five years, there had been no reported incidents at the complex involving guns. However, within the past two weeks, there have been two shooting incidents at the com- plex.
Early Wednesday, shots were fired in the parking lot of the complex, and one of the bullets entered the bedroom of a 14-year-old girl who was sleeping.

Fortunately, no one was hit by any of the bullets, but bul- lets did strike two cars in the parking lot.
Residents at the complex are fearful of a return to the vio- lent past the complex experi- enced, according to Resident Council Leader, Karen Peo- ples.
‘Skimmer’ Gets 4 Years For Credit Card Fraud, Identity Theft
U. S. District Judge James D. Whittemore has sen- tenced Dariel Sardinas Lopez, 22, of Tampa, to serve time in federal prison. He pleaded guilty to credit card fraud and identity theft on April 22, 2015.
Judge Whittemore sen- tenced Lopez to four years in federal prison.
According to court docu- ments, Sardinas Lopez pro- duced and trafficked in counterfeit credit cards. These fraudulent credit cards were encoded with the numbers and information of victims whose cards had been “skimmed” at local gas stations.

been stolen. Sardinas Lopez sold these counterfeit credit cards and also used them to purchase merchandise for himself.

Teenager Punches Woman, Takes Her Phone
Officers with the Tampa Po- lice Department and the Uni- versity of South Florida arrested a 15-year-old boy who allegedly robbed a woman of her cell phone on the USF campus by punching her in the face Tuesday evening.
Police said the victim, 27, was robbed of her cell phone near Alumni Drive and Leroy Collins Boulevard. The robber
fled on a bicycle and hid in a shed near 26th Street and Linebaugh Avenue, police said. He refused to come out and was pulled from the shed by a Tampa Police K-9. He suf- fered minor injuries and re- ceived medical treatment.
Bernard McCloud was charged with strong armed robber and burglar in the inci- dent.
