The Home Of Tyler Perry’s Father Burns To Ground

Emmitt Perry, the stepfather of Tyler Perry lost his home due to an electrical fire. The house was purchased by his famous son.
Jason Derulo, Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $.
R&B melodymaker Jason Derulo is back on the charts in epic fashion with “Swalla,” his new single with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.
The record’s traction has been moving a breaknecks speeds — becoming the #1 most added song on rhythmic radio and No. 4 most added on Top 40 just days after its re- lease. But it is what people on social media are saying about Nicki Minaj dissing Remy Ma on the song.
Minaj’s lyric, combined with the similarly themed lines on her Gucci Mane feature,
“No Love,” that prompted Remy Ma to unleash the “SHETHER” in the studio.
Being part of such a sensa- tional timeline is relatively new territory for the singer and dur- ing a media brunch, he reveals his initial reaction to the entire ordeal.
“You know, it’s kinda crazy because I didn’t even expect that,” Derulo, 27, admits. “[Her dissing Remy] didn’t even cross my mind. I didn’t [put two and two] together. To be honest, I don’t think any- body on my team or my label put that together, either.”
Rapper/actor Common is taking on many movie roles.
Tyler Perry's father lost his mansion in a suspected electrical fire as flames en- gulfed his Louisiana home.
What started off as a 'pop- ping noise' in an attic, turned into a raging fire that needed a crew of nearly 50 firefight- ers to battle the blaze at the home of Emmitt Perry on Monday night.
The father to Tyler Perry, a writer and director, said he didn't see or smell any signs of the fire, he only heard a popping noise, before his Greensburg, Louisiana, home burst into flames.
He told WBRZ that his fate could have been different if he were asleep.
Perry said: 'I made it out alive. If it wouldn't have hap- pened then, me and my daughter would've probably been in there, and we would have burned up.
The fire, which could be seen from miles away, was left to burn out after St. He- lena Parish Fire Districts de- termined the closest fire hydrant was five miles away from the home.
The house is determined to be a total loss.
Rapper Common is adding to his action man roles by tak- ing on a starring role in the thriller “Quick Draw.”
The movie, written and di- rected by Harris Goldberg, will shoot this summer.
Plot details are currently under wraps, but the movie will take place in Los Angeles.
Common has starred in a number of action films, in- cluding “John Wick: Chapter 2,” “Suicide Squad,” “Wanted,” and “Terminator Salvation.”
