Church, Community Organizations Come Together To Host Spring Fun Festival

With Spring having just sprung, the Greater Palm River Communities of Palm River, Clair Mel and Progress Village have united with Keeney Chapel United Methodist Church and Palm River CDC – Point, to host a Community Family Spring Fun Festival.
Schools, churches, and businesses in those areas are invited to join the event.
All the activities will be hap- pening at Keeney Chapel UM Church, 7736 Destin Drive (Tampa, 33619), on April 1, 2017, 10 a. m. – 4 p. m.
Parents and school age chil- dren are invited to come out and join in the wholesome ac- tivities in a safe, supervised en- vironment where there will be contests, age-appropriate games and most of all fun, states Alliene Robinson, one of the committee members of Keeney UM.
The activities include: Bounce House, face painting, clowns, combo sports slide, step teams, mime and liturgical dance teams. Additionally, there will be free giveaways, popcorn, cotton candy, and several vendors. To keep activ- ities ‘jumping, popular DJ Randall ‘C’ will be pumping

of the event, said, “We have in- vited community helping agen- cies to provide information displays and we are appealing to the community for support. Our youth need to know that there are organizations in the community that are concerned about their well-being.”
Keeney Chapel United Methodist Church was organ- ized 100 years ago, in 1917. It moved to its current location – off Palm River Rd. and 78th St., next to Clair Mel Elementary School – in 1980. The current pastor is Rev. Ronald C. Hubbard.

Urban Mystic Is Featured During 3-Day Weekend Music Festival
The Smooth Breeze Music Festival Weekend will kick off on Friday, March 31st with Too Smooth’s 20th Annual Birthday Bash. The event will be hosted by Chicago Queen of Blues Nelly “Tiger” Travis and the co-host will be KOLD The King of Line Dancing. Bounce Boy Event Factory has been selected at the site of the event.
On Saturday, April 1st Smooth Breeze Music Festival will be hosted by comedian Terry Harris, featuring R&B artists Urban Mystic, Christopher Williams, Chubb Rock, with blues singer, Nelly “Tiger Travis” and DJ Doctor Doom at The Water Works Park.
On Sunday, April 2nd, Get Your Giggle On with comedi- ans T-Ray from BET Comic View, Marvin Hunter from “Off The Chain”, Bounce TV and Batman from St. Peters- burg, at Bounce Boy Event Factory, Tampa.

soul recording artist Urban Mystic, will be performing Saturday, April 1st at the Smooth Breeze Music Festival. Brandon Williams, better known by his stage name, Urban Mystic was born and raised the son of a church min- ister in Fort Lauderdale. He developed an interest for music at his father's church.
In 2003, Williams gave
himself the name Urban Mystic which reflects both his street mentality and his singing talent. His debut album, Ghetto Revelations, re- leased on November 30, 2004, included the Billboard R&B hit single "Where Were You." Urban Mystic released his fifth album “Soulful Classics” on July 31, 2015. It was preceded by the release of the singles "No Matter How High" and "Feel Good."
His new single “Computer Lover” off of his upcoming album “Underrated” is highly anticipated to be a number one hit.
Urban Mystic says “Being able to cross over from the urban adult contemporary side along with the main- stream is a great challenge and love.”
