As the news tells us that COVID has begun a resur- gence with the Omicron BA.5 subvariant, many of us find ourselves in the same sur- vival mindset as we were at the start of the pandemic, going day to day, trying to fig- ure out how to keep COVID away from our families and ourselves. Fortunately, we’ve made a lot of advances in our fight against COVID, such as masks, cleaning, and vac- cines.
There are other ways, however, of building immu- nity against COVID. A large part of building that immu- nity comes from the foods we eat. Studies have shown that several fruits and vegetables are filled with antioxidants and other vitamins and nutri- ents that help keep illnesses away.
Here are the top 10 fruits and vegetables that help build your immune system.
1. Blueberries
Blueberries may be small and tasty, but they pack a powerful punch when it comes to immunity building. Those little guys also have vi- tamin C to help keep your im- mune system strong.
2. Broccoli
Part of the cruciferous family, broccoli is one of the top vegetables to eat. It’s full of antioxidants, vitamins and a host of other vitamins and minerals.
