Parking Lot Shooting Leaves Man In Critical Condition
Morgan Creek Apartments
Detectives are continuing their investigation into a shoot- ing that took place last Saturday. The incident left one victim in- jured.
According to the Tampa Po- lice Department, the unidenti- fied man was driving in the parking lot of the Morgan Creek apartments, looking for a park- ing space around 3:30 a.m. At some point, unknown suspects fired several shots into the vic- tim’s car. He was struck several times.
Tampa Fire Rescue re- sponded to the scene and admin- istered first aid. The man was then transported to a local hos- pital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
The shooting remains under investigation.

Spike Lee Announces Murder Of Actor Thomas Jefferson Byrd
THOMAS JEFFERSON BYRD
Spike Lee took to social media earlier today to announce the murder of Thomas Jeffer- son Byrd, an Atlanta-based actor who had appeared in mul- tiple films by the director.
The famed director also shared a photo of Byrd as the character Errol Barnes in his 1995 film, “Clockers.”
Cops responded to a call of a person injured at 1:45 AM Sat- urday. Byrd was found unre- sponsive, and emergency medical workers pronounced him dead from multiple gunshot wounds to the back.
