MR. LUTHER LEON ROGERS
A Celebration of Life service for Mr. Luther Leon Rogers, who was called home on August 24, 2022, will be held on Satur- day, September 3rd, 2022, at 11 a. m. at New Greater Friend- ship MB Church, 3325 E. Emma St., Tampa, Florida 33610, Rev- erend Ronnie Murray, Pastor, Reverend Warren Hall, offici- ating. Interment will be held on September 6, 2022, at 11 a. m. at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave., Bushnell, FL. 33513.
Mr. Luther was born Octo- ber 31, 1952, to Luther Rogers and Geraldine Taylor Rogers in Tampa, Florida. Luther was a 1970 graduate of Middleton High School, and he attended Florida A & M University for a brief period. Luther was a dis- abled veteran who served in the U. S. Air Force. He was a huge Buccaneers fan, enjoyed play- ing Spades, and treasure hunt- ing at yard sales. Luther was baptized by Rev Madison Mur- ray at Greater Friendship MB Church.
Mr. Luther was preceded in death by: his parents, Luther and Geraldine Rogers; brother, Lorenzo Rogers; sister, Con- stance Rogers Nelson; and dear friend, Willie McGhee.
Mr. Luther leaves to cherish loving memories: wife, Cassan- dra; stepsons, Ronald and Carl Brown, Elijah Gray; brother, Anthony Rogers; sisters, Debo- rah Johnson, Geraldine Loretta Rogers-Toombs, Miriam Rogers White (Robert); brother-in-law, Leroy Brown; special nieces and nephews, Marvin Wright, Ashley and Kianna Russ, Daniel, Alesia, Caiden and Sekani Wilson; spe- cial cousins, Michael Jones, Brenda Watts; close friends, Martin and Jennifer Pope, Frederick Boe Larry, James Chambers, Larry Westley, Harry Lovette; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation on Friday, Sep- tember 2, 2022, from 5-7 p. m. at Jackson Funeral Home, 4605 N 34th St., Tampa, FL 33610. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 10:45 am for the serv- ice. Please Follow Guidelines. Masks are Required.

MS. CHARLOTTE COFFIE
Charlotte Joyce Coffie passed away on Thursday, Au- gust 18, 2022. Graveside Serv- ices will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, 11:00 a. m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Av- enue, Tampa, FL 33610, with Bishop Thomas Scott, Officiat- ing. MASK RECOMMENDED.
Anna Louise Coffie and James Eady received a gorgeous life-giving gift in the form of a daughter on July 28, 1951. Char- lotte Joyce Coffie was a precious jewel born in the Sulphur Springs Community was raised by her grandmother, Alice L. Thomas after Momma Anna passed. Charlotte was baptized as a child at Springhill M. B. Church. She attended the schools of Hillsborough County and graduated from Chamber- lain High School; she was a proud Chief Alumni. Her work ethic was unmatched if she com- mitted to a job it was done with excellence. She worked and re- tired from the University of South Florida Physical Plant. Her most esteemed job was be- coming a mother to her pride and joy, her only daughter, Be- linda Jean Dooley in 1972. She loved her family and cherished her friends. If God sent you into her life, you were forever family!
She became a member of 34th St. COG under the leader- ship of Bishop Thomas Scott. She served humbly until her health declined. She served peo- ple with compassion and a smile as a member of the Usher’s Min- istry, Hospitality Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and anyone that knew her, can attest to the fact that she believed in feeding people, so working at the 34th St. Bethesda Food Pantry was an assignment she took seriously. Her work and servant leader- ship went beyond the walls of the church, she was a honored member of the Family Enrich- ment Center Grandparent Sup- port Group, the East Tampa CDC community group, Board mem- ber of the Saints and Tampa Hurricanes Little League Foot- ball, Elder Advisor for the Dev- ereux Kids YSIA Teen group, Derrick Brooks Charities Youth Program and worked on many campaigns of elected officials; she was the founding President of the Sulphur Springs Seniors and sooooo many other volun- teer positions. Her greatest pas- sion besides feeding people was
FOOTBALL from little league to pro, she enjoyed every game. If the Buccaneers had a section that said fan for life, a jersey with her name would be hung there.
She was preceded in death by: her beautiful and brilliant mother, Anna L. Coffie; father, James Eady; her pride and joy, Belinda Jean Dooley; grand- mother, Alice Lee Thomas; brothers, Ronald Coffie, Sr., Donald Coffie, and Lee Andrew Coffie, Sr.; sisters, Althea Cheaves, and Joann Bradley; aunts and uncles, Eloyce Stone, Charles Thomas, Alberta Jones, Roosevelt Jones, and Henry Jones; cousins, Doretha Hicks, Yvonne Davis, Earl Oates, Regina Artis, and Steve Stone; niece and nephews, Lee Andrew Coffie, Jr., Jamal Davis, Tyrell Brown, Cantrell Allen, Maurice Pouncey, and Valarie Pouncey. The legacy of Charlotte J. Brittany was a native of Florida and a resident of Bran- don, FL for 30 years. She at- tended Hillsborough County Schools where she graduated from Medical College in 2021. Her goal was to run for Senator of Florida. She was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ and employed as a Coun- selor at Bridge Prep Academy.
She was preceded in death by: her grandparents, James and Bernice Rogers, and Mattie and Willie Coleman; and un- cles, Jimmy Brown, Bernard Rogers, and Joe W. Rogers.
She leaves to cherish: her mother, Dorothy J. Rogers Coleman; father, Calvin D.
