The New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Tampa, Florida, Inc., will be culminating the celebra- tion of its 116th anniversary on Sun- day, October 21, 2018, with one service at 10 a. m. – Unity Service. Reverend Larry L. Roundtree, II, is the Pastor.
Those on the planning committee, chaired by Fatricia Brooks-Camp- bell, Chairman, and Theron (TJ) James, Jr., have had two successful events – the church’s rendition of Family Feud, and a Talent Showcase. They are gearing up for additional events.
Family Feud Game Night, a fun event, was held on August 31 at 7 p. m. in the Walter J. Williams Life Cen- ter. The event was spearheaded by Mrs. Brooks-Campbell and com- mittee members Dorthula Tillery, Jennifer E. Engram, Ray Lewis, Angela Lewis and Jackie Jones. Participants included host, Ray Lewis and teams from The Daugh- ters of Zion, NMZ Youth Choir, NMZ Voices of Praise and NMZ Generation Real. The Voices of Praise ultimately defeated everyone and won the cham- pionship.
