More Than 60,000 Cast Ballots During Early Voting
Last Sunday, members of the community returned to the election polls for the runoff Election for the City of Tampa. As of Wednesday, more than 60,000 residents
used the Vote-By-Mail op- tion or participated in Early Voting.
Early Voting ends on Sat- urday, April 20, 2019. The Election will take place for
Tuesday, April 23, 2019. During the runoff elec- tion citizens will be called upon to choose between Jane Castor and David Straz as the next Mayor for
the City of Tampa.
Other offices in the runoff
election are City Council seats in District 1, Joseph Citro versus Walter Smith, II; District 3, John Dingfelder takes on Stephen Lytle; and in the District 5 race, Jeffrey Rhodes competes against Orlando Gudes.
Early Voting
As of Wednesday, resi- dents participating in Early
Voting had cast 4,825 bal- lots. Residents voting by mail had cast 57,463 votes.
Individuals who elect to vote on Election Day must report to their assigned precincts.
