Kofi Kingston Becomes
Warriors' Cousins Has Torn Quad; Out Indefinitely
DEMARCUS COUSINS
Golden State Warriors cen- ter DeMarcus Cousins has a torn left quadriceps, is out for an indefinite period and will begin rehabilitation immedi- ately, the team said Tuesday.
An MRI on Tuesday morn- ing confirmed the tear, accord- ing to the Warriors, who said it would provide updates on Cousins "as appropriate."
Cousins' noncontact injury occurred while he was pursu- ing a loose ball with 8:30 re- maining in the first quarter of Monday's 135-131 loss to the LA Clippers in Game 2 of their playoff series.
He knocked away a pass from Clippers forward Danilo Gallinari. As Cousins tried to chase down the ball, he fell to the floor. He tried to get up and keep going, but once he rose to his feet, he immediately called to be taken out of the game. He then gingerly made his way back to the Warriors' locker room with team medical personnel.

First African-Born WWE
World Heavyweight
At this year's Wrestlema- nia, Kofi Kingston became the first African-born WWE World Heavyweight champ. Kingston, who is part of The New Day and was born in Ghana, defeated Daniel Bryan for the title. He is also the second black man in the history of WWE to win the title (the first is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson).
"It’s so emotional, I worked so hard to get here, and sometimes you work as hard as you can and things aren’t going your way... it’s paid off," the 37-year-old said in a backstage interview after his win. "It just feels surreal, it just feels like a le- gitimate dream."
Kingston has been fight- ing for this win since joining the WWE 11 years ago. He formed "The New Day" with fellow wrestlers Xavier Wood and Big E in 2014,
KOFI KINGSTON
and Big E discussed the his- toric win in an interview.
"Everything about [these] last two months and Kofi’s 11 years... has been so or- ganic and raw and genuine," he said. "Not just for Kofi and for us, but for people who have taken this journey with Kofi the entire time, for kids who wanted someone who resembled them to be champion... this means so much."

Tiger Woods’ Masters Win Earned A Bettor In Las Vegas $1.2 Million
Tiger Woods picked up his fifth green jacket on Sun- day with a final round 70 to wake up the echoes at Au- gusta National. Woods win- ning another major was once thought to be a near impossi- bility as he suffered through setback after setback with his back injury.
Woods was no longer a long shot and found himself back near the top of the odds sheet for this year’s Masters at 14-1.
Woods winning was a massive liability for sports- books in Vegas and offshore, as multiple books were on the hook for more than a seven figure loss if Tiger donned the green jacket again. No book faced a bigger single bet liability than William Hill,
TIGER WOODS
which took a $85,000 bet on Woods at 14-1 at their book at SLS in Las Vegas, and on Sunday their worst night- mare came true. Once he got the okay from his wife, Hill took their last $85,000 from their bank account and went for the gusto.
It was the largest payout in the book’s history on a future, as they were forced to pay $1.19 million.
