Suspect Sought In Shooting
Elderly Man
Teenager Charged With Damaging Police Vehicle
Tampa Police report that just before 10 p.m. Saturday, one person was wounded in a shooting at the Silver Oaks Apartments (formerly Ken- neth Court on 43rd Street).
Police said a group of young men were hanging outside when a fight broke out and shots were fired.
D’Marcus T. Dent, 21, was wounded and transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No suspect in the shooting has been identified at this time.
Driveway
A 16-year-old is facing felony charges after a police vehicle was intentionally dam- aged. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office vehicle was at the scene of an investi- gation when it was damaged.
According to police, June 19th, at around 11:17 p.m., deputies responded to a call of a loud party at 13031 Avalon Crest Court. More than 200 people were reportedly in at- tendance at the party.
While deputies were at- tempting to disperse the crowd, an unidentified suspect jumped on the top of an un- marked police car parked near the location of the party. He al- legedly continued jumping on the roof of the car and caused

Winter Haven Police report that a 73-year-old man was at- tacked in the driveway of his home Thursday night
Police said the victim pulled into the driveway of his home on 4th Street Northeast at 11:10 p.m., and said he saw a man standing near a home holding a stick.
The victim said he was fright- ened and tried to drive way, but his vehicle ran into hedges and became stuck.
At that time, the victim told police three men pulled him out of his vehicle, one of them tak- ing money from his pockets and the others hitting him in the face with their fists. The victim had limited use of his right arm, but tried to fight the men off with his left arm, police said.
The victim was kicked by the suspects while he was on the ground and after the attack, all three suspects fled.
The victim was not able to get up and just leaned against his car until his girlfriend arrived 90 minutes later. He was not seriously injured and was treated at the scene.
The suspects were described only a Black males. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 226-8477.
Beach Evacuated After Flash Bomb Washes Ashore
This is what a beachgoer saw Sunday along St. Petersburg beach.
The flare bomb is exploded by ordinance experts.
On Sunday at 8:40 a. m., a beachgoer was walking along the St. Petersburg beach saw at 4-foot cylinder that looked like an old log, and after taking a closer look, decided to call au- thorities.
The call started an effort to evacuate beachgoers and home- owners on the beach, build a sand bank around the bomb, then detonate it where it was found. Authorities said it was a M122 World War II-era flare.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and MacDill Air Force Base’s explosive ordi- nance disposal team took care of the bomb.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 3 people after executing a search warrant at a Lakeland home. During the search warrant, police found large amounts of drugs and weapons.
According to police, the search warrant was executed at 2417 Golfview Street, by the Tactical Drug Unit, last Wednesday. The residence is the home of 26-year-old Jere- miah Jaron Rogers, who fled the scene, but was later caught.
Police said as Rogers ran away, he attempted to discard a paper bundle which con- tacted $5,000 in cash, 34 plas- tic bags containing heroin, totaling 42 grams, a plastic bag containing cocaine, a Hy- drocodone pill and 3 Oxy- codone pills. He is alleged to have had another plastic bag containing alprazolam (Xanax) pills, police said.

On Friday, July 17th, Hills- borough County Sheriff’s Of- fice homicide detectives were able to gathers information and evidence to get an arrest warrant for Paul L. Wright. Wright was being sought for the murder of Michael Richardson.

deputies were called to a shooting in the parking lot of the Hookah Bar 1430 Kingsway Road in Brandon.
Detectives said Richard- son, 24, was outside the bar in the parking lot when he was shot. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Detectives said at the time the shooting was not a random act.

During the search, police found a Kahr 9 mm handgun in Roger’s bedroom, a black digital scale with marijuana residue on it, 30 prescription Meloxicam pills, and two iPhones, one of which con- tained text messages to Rogers requesting “pills,” po- lice said.
Detectives also arrested Jarrod S. Gaines, 25, and 24-year-old Kira Scott and charged them with possession of prescription medication with the intent to sell, posses- sion of marijuana and posses- sion of paraphernalia.
Pedestrian Accident Closes Westbound Traffic On Fowler
On Saturday night, an acci- dent involving a motorist and a pedestrian caused the west- bound lanes of Fowler Avenue in front of University Mall to be shut down.
Police said a 10 p.m., Manuel
Vicente Ramos, 40, was hit by a car on Fowler between 22nd Street and 18th Street.
No information was released on the condition of Ramos, not the motorist involved in the ac- cident.
